How Do I Opt Out Of The Spyware Page Yahoo Puts In Place So You Can

How does Facebook's "People You May Know" work?

Facebook makes use of the graph algorithm ,which means that any friend of yours having a friend will be linked to you .Kind of like If A is connected to B and B is connected to C ,the A will be connected to C.Now ,we all know that we add many random people in our friend list.So i guess you and your neighbour might have a chain of friends in between you that is why Facebook links you with him.Consider this caseSuppose you are A and you have an added friend B.Your neighbour is D and he has a friend C.Let B and C be friends .Now basically you and your neighbour may not have mutual friends but you will be in each others suggested friends. :)

How might you get rid of those viagra spyware ads that have taken over my Firefox and Explorer browsers?

There are a few things that you need to do.

First of all, download and run Spybot S&D from safer-networking.org.

Secondly, go into your control panel, internet options, and on the ADVANCED tab, reset Internet Explorer's default settings.

Lastly, Go to Start > Programs (Or all programs on XP) >Mozilla Firefox > Firefox (Safe Mode). At the prompt, reset Firefox back to default.

This should take care of whatever issues that you have.

Also, consider changing your anti-virus to AVG Free. It helps to keep spyware and viruses under control. Get it (for FREE) from free.grisoft.com.

Tracking cookie annoyance..?

Please give me advice on how to permanently delete these, and how these got on my computer.

What is Third Party Cookie?

It is very hard to explain, but if I put it into an 'example' you should understand.

If you go to a website such as www.google.com you'll get cookies from that website. But, if their are advertisements on that website, you'll get third party cookies from them. Sometimess they can be harmless and just to remember your visits, but some of them can download harmful material to your computer.

Your browser should have some options to stop third party cookies from being stored in your temporary files. If you think you have a keylogger, phisher or malicious third party cookie on your computer you can go to Options in your browser and you should find something like "Delete Browsing History" or something along those lines. It varies between browsers.

Download AVG Free to protect yourself from viruses, including third party programs. It is a very good anti-virus program in every way.
Here is the link to AVG Free: http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?part=dl-10044820&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=11016903

Also, there is a program called Ccleaner and it removes all your browsing history and junk in your hard-drive which will also remove lots of viruses. It also has a registry cleaning tool, it cleans out junk that doesn't have an association with your computer or isn't supposed to be there (that's viruses). You can download it here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/download/56cf8dcde5b32d4b4e7c7bea1c8e7e37/

Hope I helped - Good Luck!
