How Do I Seclude F In This Equation

How do you solve for x when x is the denominator of a fraction?

Basically, we want to move the x out of the denominator by multiplying by the denominator. I have included some example equations that range in difficulty.Here’s an example problem:Solve for x2/x = 4We want to isolate the x, so first, we want to move it out of the denominator. We can do this by multiplying both sides by x.(2/x) * x = (4) * xThe x’s on the left side cancel out (dividing by x and multiplying are inverse operations, so we can take both out of the left side).We end up with:2 = 4xI personally like to have the x on the left side:4x = 2Now all we need to do is divide by 4 on both sides(4x) / 4 = 2 / 4Once again, we can cancel out. The two 4’s on the left side cancel each other out.We are left with:x = 2/4Or, simplified:x = 1/2To recap, we multiplied both sides by the denominator to get x out.Here’s another problem:2/x = 3/xA problem like this is impossible, because once you multiply both sides by x, x is cancelled out on both sides and2 = 3is left over. This is not possible, so the problem has no solution.Another problem:3/x = x/3(3/x) * x = (x/3) * x3 = (x/3) * (x/1)3 = (x^2)/3(3) * 3 = [(x^2)/3] * 39 = x^2square root {9} = square root {x^2}+/- 3 = xx = +/- 3Okay, last problem:-4/(x-1) = x-5(-4/(x-1)) * (x-1) = (x-5) * (x-1)-4 = (x^2) - 6x + 5(x^2) - 6x + 5 = -4 (flipped equation to put x on left side, {just my preference})([x^2] - 6x + 5) + 4 = -4 + 4 (setting equal to 0)x^2 - 6x + 9 = 0(x - 3) (x - 3) = 0x - 3 = 0x = +3Hope this helped!Thanks for reading through my answer. Here’s a little reward :)

Physics concept question? If the amplitude of a sound wave is made 2.0 times greater, by what factor will the?

If the amplitude of a sound wave is made 2.0 times greater, by what factor will the intensity increase?
If the amplitude of a sound wave is made 2.0 times greater, by how many dB will the sound level increase?

I asked this question last night, but no one was online. Tell me what you think?

uhh are you sure it just wasn't that it's way too long for anyone to want to read? i mean i know i didt read the thing

What would you do with your life if money were no object?

I’d spend time with people. The single most valuable thing money can buy is time. The most valuable thing I can do with time is to connect with people.I was talking to the realtor who’s helping me relocate for a new job recently and I said “I’d live in a shoebox if it gave me a short enough commute so I’d be free to spend evenings with the people who matter.” My number one driving criteria for a place to live is commute because the most important thing I can buy is time.If money were no object, I’d travel to spend time with people who are important to me but who are too far for me to spend time with. Or I’d fly them to visit me should they have the inclination to do so.I’d go places with people… in a real “money is no object” world, I’d like to be able to tell those people who matter “quit your job, I’ve got you covered, let’s talk about what we want to do.”There’s a second thing to do when money is no object and that too is about people. With a sufficiently large sum of money, I’d like to fund some really important things. I’d like to make sure that The Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline don’t every have to say “we have more demand than we have resources to help.” There are some projects to fight LGBT youth homelessness that I’d like to fund and some projects that fund access to gender affirming care for trans people.Money buys time and that includes time to be an advocate and an educator. Time to touch lives and leave those lives better for having been there. Time to cast stones that will ripple, teaching teachers or leaders so that they too can have a positive impact on lives when they encounter people who are different.I’m honest enough to say that if money were no object, parts of my life would drip with hedonism. I like creature comforts as much as anyone else. But the most important thing money can buy is time and the opportunity to spend that time well.

Derivative using the quotient rule?

This problem keeps frustrating me. I suspect that it is a major breakdown in my algebra somewhere. Any of the rules of differentiation can be used, I just assumed the quotient rule might be easier than using the definition of the derivative. Any help is appreciated!

f(x)= (5x^3-2x^2+x-1)/(4x^2)

Thanks.

What is the procedure to admit a patient at a mental hospital?

Are you trying to let someone you know in or trying to be admitted yourself? There are some procedures to be done and they are not very difficult to follow; In non-emergency cases ( elective, when the patient/patients is controllable):First, you may visit any one of local hospitals that has the psychiatry department and has a specialized psychiatric care ward that is segragated from other wards; small hospitals might not have them so you may take care to visit one that most likely offers you the service. It is not that you aren’t going to be transferred to an adequate one if you visit non-psychiatric hospitals; it is just that it takes more time.Secondly, you may inform your situation convincingly to your doctor and you may be admitted if he/she renders your case need constant medical evaluation and support ; even if your symtpoms are not severe enough by medical standards, your assertation to be under psychiatric care itself is a factor that most physicians consider requiring an admission into a psychiatric-care-providing ward.2. In emergency cases, e.g., the patient in question commiting a suicide or planning one, delirious, attempts to kill, alcohol related ravaging, etc. ;Your visiting and contacting any kind of doctor should provide you an admission into Emergency unit of a hospital that can care for you immediately and most probably, if the hospital is large enough to have it, admit the patient ro a secluded psychiatric ward, at least for a few weeks until the patient is mor stabilized.
