How Do I Set Yahoo E Mail To Detect My Spelling Errors As I Make Them Instead Of Having To Manually

Do people care anymore about spelling and grammar?

I know spellcheck has made me lax with my spelling. I type alot of documents on Word, which auto corrects so sometimes I forget to check. If I'm writing something out by hand or spelling a word on the phone I feel like an idiot if I don't know how to spell a word.
But you also need to consider context. In a resume or professional email it should be important. In a chat forum, community egroup, text message etc. bad spelling has become a new way to express yourself.

With all the spelling errors today in regards to teens...on purpose or not how do we know that they will

A teenager myself, I can tell you that spelling errors and lack of grammatical knowledge annoy me, too. It's not so much that teens are stupid, more so than the fact that people of my generation have grown up in an age of technology. Starting at a very young age, we were introduced to email and instant messenger, and more recently, text messaging. It's all about simplicity and making things easier. Just as the typewriter replaced a written texts, computers and cell phones have replaced typewriters. They allow instantaneous communication between two people. In some cases, it's much easier to abbreviate or shorten language to send messages faster and faster. This is where "chatspeak" words like "lol" and "g2g" come from. Since most communication is through some form of a computer, these "words" have crept into writing and everyday language for teenagers.

As to your first question, I don't know if my generation will be able to spell properly when needed. I see common words like "believe," "tomorrow," "definitely," and "grateful" spelled as "beleive," "tommorrow," "definately," and "greatful." I see people everywhere confusing "there," "they're," and "their" as well as "you're" and "your." My philosophy is that, as technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, language will gradually deteriorate. It is not really my generation, but the next generation that I worry about: the kids that are kindergarteners now that have more computer interaction than has ever been seen before.

However, if you look past the majority of the teenage population today, you will find kids who still read books for enjoyment, pay attention in class, and mind their spelling and grammar. These kids will be the ambitious writers, and the faithful carriers of language in years to come.

Why does my email say "cannot find null" make sure the spelling is correct?

Hi,
Thousands are having all kinds of problems with their mail since the new format, with Server Farm issues with Original Mail AND Beta Mail, several months ago!
Yahoo! and Sun Java are also having conflicts. Rather than trying to work around them, here is the easy and fastest way to cure them (for most). Go to Tools, open Internet Options, and select Advance tab. Scroll down the list and see if you have Microsoft Virtual Machine listed, if so, uncheck the 2 java’s listed. Make sure JIT is checked, click apply then ok. and then Close. This lets MSN virtual machine launch Yahoo! mail.
If you don't have MSN VM, get it here:

Or try these mail links:

http://www.us.m.yahoo.com/

Also: you will have less problems with Mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger. Then click on the little envelope icon on top of messenger box. Or go to My Yahoo and click on your mail link. Or click on the Big RED Y! on the Yahoo! Toolbar. Bottom line is any link that already has you signed in!!!
I recommend that you use Original Mail until beta works out the bugs. Just click on Switch Back on the top of your mail page. FYI, beta means TESTING. Go back to IE6 which works just fine and is problem free. It is still installed on your pc. Just go to Start, setting, and add/remove programs and delete IE7. If you are using Yahoo Mail Plus, and your server farm has problems, switch to the free service until things are worked out.
NOTE: Use beta software at your own risk; it is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only. Do not install beta software on your primary computer or production environment.
You may also need to update your Windows.

Do spelling and grammar have to be perfect in emails?

It depends on who you email. If it is a friend or relative and you just want to know what time they are bringing the beer, then as long as they can understand your meaning then the communication was effective, even if it is a single character or emoji. If however, if it is an official email such as your doctor, teacher, customer, client, or potential employer, then you definitely should do your best to write properly. When I receive emails in an official capacity I do judge the writer by their use of language. Of course I can forgive the occasional error, especially if English is their second language. But if I see that they didn't put as much effort into the email as they would regular business letter, then that is certainly a black mark against them. For example, if a potential client or someone looking for a job emails me and begins, "hey dude whats up," then I will assume that they are unable to tell the difference between informal and formal situations, and therefore their judgment in other areas may be lacking. The may indeed be a nice, intelligent, kind, generous, hardworking, trustworthy person, but to lack the basic social skills and respect in formal situations is a serious warning sign.Is that unfair and snobbish? Perhaps, but it is about basic intelligence and social awareness. It really doesn't take much to run text through a spellchecker, or look up how to use an apostrophe or when to use two, too, and to.

Is there a way to check if an e-mail address is valid without e-mailing it?

Yup, through email verification tools.Email verification tools validate email addresses, protecting your sender reputation. They detect and remove known abuse and spam trap emails, bounced emails, temporary addresses, invalid ones, and catch-all domains. Here are some examples: Kleber, Bounceless, Email Hippo, and NeverBounce. However, free email validation tools have limitations. Some allow only for a one-time bulk verifications. The others allow a number of monthly requests. For instance, Hunter dot (io) only allows up to 100 requests a month. And .csv download is not permitted. Because of this, you should expect to do a bit of the manual work with this method.Want to save yourself time and effort? You can opt to purchase only verified emails from a trusted database so you start with a clean list in the first place.Plus, doing this gives you access to a huge list of qualified emails quickly and without going through the hassle of building your own list. One such tool is UpLead.UpLead lets search email addresses using certain criteria like country, company, job title, and more.. This allows you to search for leads that are highly relevant to your user persona. Once you have set the search options, you are given a list that is composed of only verified email addresses. You can also directly export the list to your CRM.See how it saves you time?Lead prospecting tools are investments that will pay for themselves.Curious to give these tools a try instead of verifying your list using free tools, you can refer to our guide of 20 Sales Prospecting Tools to Close More Deals in 2019.

Writers: Are you a grammar/spelling freak in real life as well as in your writing?

Dax, you would laugh if you ever saw inside my head when I'm at work!

Okay, that sounded way crazier than I intended. But, I work in a place where I get emails from real estate agents all the time, and half of them can't even write a proper sentence in English. It's all I can do to not email them back a list of mistakes.

I think I hate it because it's NOT THAT HARD! I mean really, the rules are simple. We learn them in elementary school for a reason.

BQ: Word misuse, I'd say. You're = your, we're = were... etc. Again, it's not hard. Use the ''re' version if you're actually saying, 'you are or we are'. See what I mean?

Is enyone eltse tierd of peeple miss speling wurds on lyne?

Seriously. Is it that hard to write clear and concise messages to people in todays modern, technology driven world. I constantly get emails from "educated" people, that sound like they were composed by a three-year-old. I think it just adds up to laziness.

How can I tell if my email has been blocked by a spam filter?

There are few steps you can takeDouble check that you are sending to the right addressThis may seem obvious but hear me out. We all make mistakes. If you keep sending emails that get bounced for this or any other reason, it can hurt your sender reputation and get you on a blacklist.Check to see if you have been put on a spam filter blacklistIt is easy to check as there are few tools like MX Toolbox, and Return Path that can help you with this. Once you know which spam filters your domain has been blocked by, you can find out how to remove it.Create a new email address with a service like Gmail to test your domain reputationtry sending email to this new address to see if your emails are being receivedUse another medium to check if the recipient has the emails you have been sendingThis way you will know if your emails have been getting through. Additionally, your recipient has been deleting them because they looked like spam. What happens if I sent an email to a no one used email address?

When you send email to an unused domain, the DNS (name) lookup will fail and the local mail agent will send you an error message by email. When you send mail to an unused account at a working domain, the remote mail agent will send you an error message by email. It may keep a copy of the message, but typically will not.If a domain has a "catch all" email address account, the message will be quietly ingested without error and delivered to the "catch all" mailbox. You will never receive an error.I have a domain that is similar in spelling to another one and I periodically get mail for users on that domain. Because I am a nice guy, I forward them along. However, if I chose to ignore them, the sender would have no idea why their mail was not delivered since they would get no error message.
