How Do U Get Rid Of That Throw Up Feeling

How do I get rid of the feeling that I'm going to throw up?

Depends why you have it and at what stage you mean. You mean that feeling of reverse peristalsis? Where your mouth fills with water? You are about to throw up. Just do it and you’ll feel better.Or you mean just nausea? There is a cause. For me, if I’m too tired for too long I feel like throwing up. I don’t know if everyone feels like that when they’re sleep deprived, but I do. And I don’t mean like you are just a bit sleepy. I mean like you’ve been getting way too little sleep for way too long. It was 1–4 hours a night for me for years. Ick. The solution is fix your schedule. The other time was in the first trimester of my pregnancy. I used to barf on the same peoples’ lawn every morning as I got off the bus to go to my 7:30AM rehearsal. The earlier I got up the worse it was. I don’t know what that has to do with anything or why morning sickness tends to go away in the second trimester. But I ended up just sleeping later and later. Not more. I stayed up later and later too. It was a weird schedule. But I didn’t keep barfing so that was good. Some people find ginger helps nausea. That has never done a thing for me. I like ginger. Sometimes I boil water with fresh ginger slices and drink it like tea, because I like hot drinks. But I’ve tried it for nausea with no results. Gravol and even ondanzetron (strong anti nauseant) never worked for me either, but they do put me to sleep. Now for the weird part. Esoterically, throwing up means you regret something. So you have the feeling of being sorry for something. This makes sense if you think about it. Physical reasons are often you ate or drank something that isn’t agreeing with you. Subconsciously you know and regret that. During pregnancy women probably have some mixed feelings about what they’ve chosen to do with their bodies. I really wanted a child, and tried for over a year, and I still barfed every day for the first three months. After that I was fine though. Guess my body got with the program.

I feel sick? How do I get rid of the throw up feeling?

Did you eat out recently, or food that has been left out too long? It could be you have food poisoning. Or you may have caught a virus. Honestly if you really feel like you need to vomit you may just want to do it (but don't make yourself throw up)- your body may be trying to get rid of something bad that's sitting in your stomach.

For your fever I would take a dose of Tylenol/Acetaminophen or Advil/Ibuprofen (Tylenol is easier on the stomach but if all you have is Ibuprofen, use that). While you're waiting for that to kick in put a cool cloth on your forehead and rest.

If you do end up vomiting, especially if it happens repeatedly, the next thing to do is get yourself some gatorade (if you don't have any, as a friend. if there isn't someone to help out, try juice, gingerale or even just water). Take only tiny sips every few minutes to keep yourself hydrated and try to replace what you've lost. Don't be surprised if you're on the toilet next...

Sorry you got sick, I hope you get better soon!

What should I do if I feel like throwing up but can't?

I came here looking for an answer, now I’m leaving behind an answer.Up until a few minutes ago I felt terrible, and it was that way for like over 30 minutes. So what did I do?I’m pretty sure it was something I ate that made me sick, so I was looking for a way to get me to throw up to get it out, as that makes me feel better most of the times. I tried everything to speed up the process (just like the OP I felt like throwing up but couldn’t) but it didn’t work. I had a headache that made me lose focus to actually think of something to help.So my mother tells me that maybe I should take a painkiller, to at least get rid of the headache. I told her no way, I would insta throw up like that. And we both went silent and then I took the painkiller.Never had a painkiller that showed effect within a second before, gotta give the maker a 10/10 for that :P Now I feel better without any of the symptoms I had before. Not saying you should take a painkiller, but something like that might help for you too. Even if it’s just a big vitamin pill it will probably help. I haven’t tested it though, and I hope that I don’t need to.Now for all the other answers asking the op why would you want to throw up? Simple, because if it’s something in your stomach you throw it out and you feel better after. The only way I can get to feel better is to throw up sadly.Hope you get rid of whatever causes that annoying feeling.

How do I feel better after throwing up?

It depends on the person and your situation. What I do after having a huge session of throwing up is just laying down and allow my stomach to settle. Sometimes this will restart my throwing up, but once I get out the virus from my system I start feeling better. If you do this don't sleep on your back or stomach cause if you throw up you will drown. For others certain scents like mint, ginger, and flowers will help you feel much better. Drinking ginger ale has helped me feel better as well.If your not sick and just purging. First I recommend you cease this immediately and seek a friend to talk to before you cause irreparable damage to yourself. However the steps above will help you just as well.

How to get rid of a full stomach feeling?

Alice is right but she forgot to add one digestive disorder which always makes you feel full to the point of vomiting. It is called Gastroparesis. I know because I have had it for 9 years now. I don't have the usual symptoms (diabetes, nausea & vomiting) so the Drs call mine ideopathic. They say I have the worst case they have ever seen so no one will or can treat me anymore. For you I would say your fullness is caused by gas. Get some Gas X and take after you eat and see if it helps. My son gets what youdo and Gas X works great for him. For myself, the only way I can get the full feeling to go away is to drink 2-3 glasses of ice cold water. It washes the digested food from your stomach so you don't feel so full. As I said, I have had this 9 years and have tried everything and Gas X and lots of water are the only thing that helps me. My stomach bloats up like I am 9 months pregnant and I am in terrible pain. My food stays in my stomach for 36 hours to a week at a time so I know how you feel. Try what I suggested, it helps me.

Does throwing up help get rid of alcohol?

Throwing up will only get rid of unabsorbed alcohol. Meaning that if you didn't ralph shortly after drinking it, it's too late.
Eat something like saltines, avoid sugars "pop, red bull, etc." Drink lots of water. Get some more sleep.
Only time can help you now grasshopper. Or another shot.

Is it wrong to make yourself throw up even if you feel like you are going to be sick anyway?

Ethically? No. Medically? Usually it is fine. If you feel as if you’re going to throw up, don’t try and suppress it; it’s your body’s natural instinct, and you won’t feel better unless you do it. But if it takes more than thinking about mayonnaise ice cream or naked grandma, then don’t force it. If you have to put your finger down your throat, it better be for a good reason, like poison, and even then I’d call poison control and see what they recommend before doing that.
