How Do You Fix It So Your Iphone Shows Your Number Instead Of Your Email

My iPhone is sending all of my texts through email?

Lol I just figured it out, reset your phone( press the power off button and the home
Botton at the same time, until it turns off and the apple logo comes up) then go to settings/ messages/iMessage ( turn it off and then turn it back on) --- then receive at/ ( your not gunna be able to choose your phone number, don't worry, keep scrolling down ) / caller id / your number should have the check mark. If so tap on your email and then tap back on to your number.
That's it.
NOTE. Your gunna have to delete the messages of people who told you, you have been sending them text messages from your email. Next step is go to your contacts, select one and hit send message and choose the phone number ... Not the email... That's it . I hope I helped:)

IMessage won't activate with my phone number?

I noticed a couple days ago when I tried to text my friend (who also has an iPhone 4 like me) that iMessage wasn't working. I tried to send him a couple of pictures but he never received them. I have been trying to fix it but nothing seems to be working... I turn it on and off, and it says waiting to be activated, and I log into my apple ID like it says to do, and then it asks to pick receiving and sending addresses and it only lets me pick my email accounts and not my phone number. Why is this? How can I fix it?

My new emails won't load in my iPhone when I update my mailbox?

This is so frustrating!! I am having the exact same problem with my yahoo account! If any of y'all find a solution please let me know!!! Thanks

I found a solution that at least worked for me. I hope it works for y'all too!!!:)

1) Login your Yahoo account from your computer
2) Create a folder named InboxTest and move *every* email sitting in your Inbox into this new folder.
3) Compose a new email from Yahoo and send it to yourself (the Yahoo account that isn't working)
4) Close your browser, do not check/read your Yahoo account from your computer
5) Go to your iPhone > Mail > Yahoo > Inbox and tap the refresh button
5a) There is a possibility that the email you sent yourself got diverted to your Bulk/Junk folder automatically so if you don't see anything check that folder
5b) You may need to reset your iPhone (hold home + sleep button)

After you restart your iPhone, your InboxTest folder should show up, and your Inbox should be downloading new emails correctly. If your Inbox starts working again, do not open the InboxTest folder from your iPhone -- you will need to login from your computer again and go through the various emails in the InboxTest folder, one of them is corrupt or caused the issue to begin with... so delete any that you don't need

My elderly uncle owns an iPhone while I own an Android and his texts to me have been coming to my email spam folder, how would I help him fix this?

Your uncle may have looked up “text to email,” and changed his info to something like:2125551212@tmomail.net, or @vzwmail.net, etcThinking that this would be an easy way to text you from a computer, vs the tiny print on his phone, but then forgot to use your @ISPdotnet as your recipient formatting, and used your email address instead. This is how it's possible to send/receive “texts” from an email account, and he could be confused about how the protocols, and processes work. Personally, I have a few important email addresses that instantly forward their messages to texts, since I see those before checking my email.I'd suggest, nicely, of course, that he let you look at his phone, and the contact info that he has for you, because it's also possible that whatever texting app he's using handles email as well, which explains the spam.Even though they're entirely different protocols, handled very differently at all layers of communication, there are apps/clients that do it all, and will import settings, address books, etc., automagically if you're just clicking through, and not actually reading the app installation screens.

Emails won't delete in yahoo mail, they keep reappearing in my inbox?

I click on an email and then click on delete. Presto, gone. And then it's back in my inbox. sometimes up to five times. I click on trash and click to empty it, sometimes the trash empties and sometimes it doesn't. If the trash empties, it seems to take the email permanently, but it shouldn't come back in the first place when I initially delete it. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

Can't clear unread email badge after updating to iOS 7?

FOUND A SOLUTION FOR GMAIL - PLEASE NO MORE ANSWERS.
Log into Gmail in your web browser. Using the advanced search, type some random text into the "does not contain" box (this needs to be something that no message in your inbox would ever contain. I just typed a bunch of random letters). Click on the select all checkbox in the corner, it will prompt you to select all messages that match your search. Click on that, then mark all as unread. Check for mail on your iPhone and the count should go down to zero.
