How Good A Quality If The Apogee Mic 96k

If you want to make money, don’t use the mic jack on your computer. It’s simply not made for high quality sound. People are paying you to get them a better VO than they could do themselves.Want a cheap combo that sounds awesome (and that I’ve used myself)? Get the MXL V63M and run it through a decent digital audio interface (like a Focusrite Scarlett Solo) and you are in business for $200. Once you figure out how to get the levels right on your EQ (inside your DAW), you’ll be producing pro quality audio.Oh, that is, of course, if you have the most important part: an ultra quiet room with no reverb.

I would like to address all the young YouTubers who are just in their budding phase. When I started YouTube a while ago, I was also looking for the best microphone but didn’t want to spend more than 1k. One of the reasons is that young Youtubers have no source of income for at least 2–4 months based on the amount of uploads. Hence they dont want to spend initially. I was also facing the same problem. I resarched a lot and watched many videos. But the cheapest suggestion was the Samson Go mic.But one day, a friend of mine suggested me the Sennheiser PC Chat 3 headphone with microphone. I was not very excited about it but I purchased it and trust me I was not let down. It has a mic which is meant for use in voice calls in call centers, hence it has voice clarity and decent noise reduction. And using it with audacity you can virtually delete any background noise coming from nearby houses, roads or even fan(Unless noise is very shrill). For around 1.1k it was the perfect mic for me. I used it for a few months and then switched to blue Snowball mic( when you can afford). There is also another mic which is Generic 57000928MG Silica Gel Professional Condenser Microphone. Check it too if you can increase your budget a little more.Check out the products:Sennheiser PC Chat 3: Sennheiser PC 3 Chat On-Ear Headphone with MicGeneric condenser mic: Amazon.in: ElectronicsBlue Snowball: Blue Microphones Snowball USB Microphone, Brushed AluminumP.S this mic is nowhere near Condenser mics like Blue Yeti or Blue Snowball but worth the price in voice clarity for narrations.Edit: My friend purchased the Generic condenser mic and he said he was was satisfied with its performance. Earlier he used Sennheiser PC chat 3, so you can directly go for that if you put a little more.

I own the Apogee MiC 96k and i am happy with it for simple vocal recording. It's stand feels a bit cheap. Setting up is ok. I don't like it's proprietary cable. It is included though but if you loose it you need to buy it from their website and can not use a standard USB cable. Regarding sound quality it is not a high end microphone which is ok for a retail prize of $249. It's was developed for the iOS devices so it works good with them which was the reason why i bought it.

Great question. There are tons of elements to take into consideration. I mix my podcast using Garageband and it works really well. My personal setup includes the following:2 Neewer Boom Scissor Stands2 Shure Beta 87 MicsFocusrite Scarlet 2i2 USB audio interface2 CBI XLR Mic CablesI have found that this setup works really well for my needs, sounds great, and is quality equipment. There are some ways that you can either ‘cut’ costs or ‘upgrade’ the equipment.Cheaper Mic - but still really good: Shure Beta 58USB Mics that don’t require an interface or mixer: Apogee MiC 96kThere are tons of quality options out there. Get the right equipment the first time and you won’t ever regret it. I have an outline of other piece of equipment on my website. All equipment that I recommend is equipment that I have personally used on my own projects or on client projects. Podcast EquipmentAbove all, have fun and create great content. Podcasting has it’s challenges, but is a blast along the way. Don’t hesitate to drop me a message if you have more questions or want to chat through the options! Best wishes.

You can use Garageband on your phone, which is simply affordable, not too advanced but definitely worth making. FL studio or logic should be more useful, if you're really serious
