How Good Is The Airsoft Star Scar-l

VFC SCAR MK17 Heavy airsoft?

Get polished BB's.

Scope depends on how serious you are. You can get a Crossman... or you can get a Weaver... or you can get a Trijicon...or you can get a Swarovski. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

I have a Weaver on one of my (real) rifles and a Nikon on the other. Either of those would be a pain in the butt at the range you're trying to shoot at. If you really want to go overboard, get a British sight for the SA-80 or a nice Trijicon red-dot scope. That is, if that thing will mount a rail.

Would you rather have an Airsoft Scar-L or Airsoft Scar-H?

A SCAR-L would be a much better choice, this is because mags are much more common, and if you run out of ammo, someone on your team probably has a mag they can throw you, the advantages of a real SCAR-H are that it has much greater stopping power, range, and can be a DMR, all of these advantages are completely lost when playing Airsoft, as the only people with real range superiority are snipers with $1,000 plus rifles, and ever they only have a few extra meters on the average soldier. So in short, the SCAR-L is better, I owned one for a while, it had excellent externals, the internals were not so great though, also all VFC GBBR's are absolutely terrible, if you're ever on the market for one, don't buy from VFC, it'll look pretty, but it'll fall apart in second.

How good is the Airsoft STAR Scar-L?

I know I just asked about VFC scars, but I have an opportunity to get a STAR Scar-L with the GL for 20ish dollars cheaper than a new VFC scar.

So which should I take?

The STAR (which I've heard is the same comp as ARES) for $360 (supposedly new in box)
Or
Should I stick to my guns (pun not intended) and get the VFC scar (Guaranteed new)

Quick replies needed so I don't miss the possible opportunity!

Is this a good airsoft holosight?

I'm just trying to get a tan holosight (cheap) for my scar-l. I found this and I think it should do fine, I just want more clarification.

http://www.amazon.com/Holographic-Tactical-Airsoft-Combat-Levels/dp/B00BNROG0O/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1372567494&sr=8-4&keywords=tan+holographic+sight

I know amazon isn't the best for airsoft, but places like evike and airsoftgi don't have cheap holosights. Tan for that matter... Anyways, if it's not good, do you know of any other ones for about the same price and tan? I'm edging more towards 552 rather than 551. If that's a bad choice please tell me and explain why 551 is better.

Thanks!

Modern Warfare 2 Airsoft Guns?

Look up the KS P90. $90 to $120-ish, not including shipping. Type in E90 at AirsoftGI; I'm too lazy to look up everything for you.

It's also called a "silencer" or a more realistic name, a "suppressor". You're going to need more cash if you want a EOTech, not a "holograpic". There is no such thing as a "holographic" scope in airsoft; the fake EOTech models are simply RDSs (Red Dot sights) in EOTech drab. If you're looking for that "red dot" as I have seen in that game, you'll either be looking at a $200 price tag or a smaller, Doctor sight replica.

Please do your research first, these things can easily be found at ASGI and other retailers.

Also, remember to not put "EOTech" or "holographic" in the search box at ASGI. Type in 551, 556, or other EOTech model names in the search box. KWA makes a Mini Uzi I believe. The FA-MAS, however, I think it is just made by Tokyo Marui. The UMP .45 replicas are made by Classic Army and G&G, Double Eagle, and STAR I think. You can find the CA UMP at Spartan Imports. SCAR-H is made by STAR, but at a hefty price tag.

Also, don't cheap out on cheapo BBs that you find at swap meets. Doing this will cause your gun to shoot like crap and eventually break it. Remember CERTIFIED eye protection as well.

Airsoft SCAR inner barrel length?

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=31863

inner barrel length is 280mm as stated in the link. i would ask these guys for exactly what your looking for. they know their airsoft very well and not only could mostly likely answer your question, but they stock a very large amount of barrel types and could set you up right.

Looking into playing Airsoft, need advice on starting equipment and cost to play?

With the way the economy is, I've had to put away the Paintball gear. And I'm looking at potentially trying out Airsoft, as it seems the major cost for supplies (namely ammo) is cheaper. What exactly do I need to play the sport. What brands should i consider, or avoid? What's the rules for taking hits? And what does an average day at an Airsoft field/facility cost? How about Scenario games? What types of game play is there?

For gear reference, I have clothing designed for paintball. Arm pads, Knee pads, Paintball facemask. and a PCS Tactical vest designed for Paintball, and gloves. What else would I need?
