Is it easy to get a job at Walmart?

They are always losing people because they are always hiring at least a few people who are going to quickly move onto something better, and a few who drink little too much (on and off the job), don't know how to show up to work on time, or like to smoke weed during the day at work in the parking lot.My son has been working at a local Wal-Mart Super Center since October 2015. He met an assistant manager, inquired about job openings the guy said not now, come back in a few days. He did. The manager said, maybe few more days. My son went back again. Then the guy said maybe a week or two. My son returned in a week. He got the job.Wal-Mart gave all their employees, including my son, a dollar raise to $10 in 2015, at least here, upon completion of a test.My son has also said they also match people's 401K contributions, they have a little known fund to help employees out in emergencies, and the few times when my son thought something was out of order with supervisors or co-workers that he couldn't solve alone and that wasn't going away, upper management was approachable and acted to quickly resolve the issue.My son's job requires him to walk about five to six miles a day in the store. The first paycheck totally went to a high-quality boot with a steel toe, a purchase he has not regretted once. If you get a job there, please remember to protect your feet, ankles, knees and hips. Produce associate at walmart..?
I work at walmart. walmart has change a lot over the years. A lot more work for one individual than when I started. Mostly with the produce department you stock the produce and make sure the bad one's are out. It is basic things that are not that difficult. The difficult part lies with the Merchandise Supervisor of the produce department. I know that level four here is around 8 but that is in michigan.
I just got two job offers! Sprouts or Walmart?
1. Sprouts: produce clerk 10/hr. 2. Walmart: overnight maintenance 12.50/hr. Which job should I pick? They both fit my schedule. I just want the less stressful job.
Fresh produce item codes at Walmart (new employee)?
I'm fairly new and I'm having trouble memorizing all of the codes for fresh produce that we have to key in. I know that bananas or 4011, and that plums are 4040, but I keep having such a brain fart on the rest! Can anyone help me out??? I asked someone if I could make a copy in the copy room, of the item code chart, but they said I'm not allowed to take my work home with me...when I was at Steak 'n Shake, I was made to take a menu home to learn it all. I just hate feeling so dumb about the codes when there are so many to learn right away and want to be done with training asap! Thanks!
Trying to quit walmart job... Help!!!!?
Okay, here's the question/problem: I tried to quit my job the other day - I went into the managers office and said "I can't handle this, I quit!" All the customers are mean. I do nothing but put stuff in bags and then get griped at for it. My arms and knees hurt SO bad when I get off work. I work different hours then what I put on my availability schedule - I have classes from 6-8pm on Mondays and I told them, wrote it down etc. and they scheduled me to work 5-9pm on Mondays! When I "quit" the other day, she offered me a position in the produce department, told me I was important to their team, and that I need to write her a resignation letter. I'm supposed to work until the 31st now... But I don't want to!!!!! I go to work all stressed out and don't know anybody there (my friends either quit or were transferred). I hate hurting so bad (I'm 19 and i have rhuematoid Arthritis so standing up all day really kills my knees and shoulders!). I am also in the process of being a model/actress and I have to travel 2hrs to get to all my gigs - it's hard to hold a job and go out of town 2-4 times a week! i guess what I'm saying is - i don't want to go to work tonight but I can't call in because I already have so many points (from having to go to class and miss work), can I just not show up? If I don't show up for a week, will they just assume that I quit? Do I HAVE to write a resignation letter? If I don't will I not get paid for the last 2 weeks that I worked? I just don't know what to do!!! Please help...
What are the best job positions at Walmart?
I had been a cashier for over a year at Walmart.... don't do it. You are basically customer service 2.0, where you get the onslaught of all complaints. People take full advantage of ad-matching and throw a hissy fit if they don't follow the policy and can't get something for 10 cents cheaper! And if they ad match too much the computer needs you to get it approved by a manager. Oh and the front end supervisors are really negligent so you'll be on your own 98% of the time, doesn't matter what's happening. Lol we once had a robbery and it took managers over 10 min to want to come over and take action. The customer had to drag them over too so they wouldn't even do it on their own free will. If you don't mind waking up early and coming in at 6am, go for produce! They leave everyday around 3pm and only need to stock fruits and vegetables. They tell me it's really cushy, the only thing that's hard is waking up so early.
