Why is Israel socialist and Americans are paying for it?
Israel has virtually no homeless people with one of the lowest homeless rates in the world. The US, for example, has 8.5 times the rate of homeless as Israel. This is because their socialist government provides housing for all. Israel also has one of the highest life expectancy in the world. The average Israeli lives 3.72 years longer than the average American. This is because their socialist government provides free healthcare for all.
American opposition to any degree of Socialism?
Hello America, I am an English university student currently researching Socialism. It has to be recognised that the USA both historically and currently, is very hostile towards socialism (also obviously communism) or any socialist tendencies. It also seems to be the only developed nation (or at least Westernised democracy) that has never developed a strong Socialist or Labour movement. Why do you think this is? Also as an American can you tell me your own personal views on socialism and whether you think it is good, bad or a bit of both. Thanks in advance!

When did Socialism become acceptable in America???
I believe it was the first day after somebody said the word "Freedom"........1776..........enjoy it folks.....it really is special. But keep one eye and one ear open all the time....it's not as good as it once was.
