How Long Does A 7.5 Oxycodone Stay In Your System

How long does a 7.5 oxycodone stay in your system?

Most narcotics stay in your system for about 24 hours.

How long does a Vicoprofen 7.5 stay in your system?

I don't know how long it stays in your system, but it won't show up on the drug test. Vicoprofen contains hydrocodone, which is an opioid. Drug tests do test for opioids, but technically they only test for certain metabolites. The 5-panel test only tests for morphine. The drugs that will come up positive either are morphine, contain morphine (ie. opium) or are metabolized into morphine by the body (ie. heroin). The 12-panel test also tests for oxymorphone (both oxymorphone and oxycodone will come up positive for this), methadone and propoxyphene. Hydrocodone is metabolized into hydromorphone, which is not tested for.

To answer your question about prescription drugs, the 5-panel test tests only for the opioids that metabolize into morphine, and amphetamines (Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexedrin, etc). The 12 panel test tests for the other opioids listed, as well as barbiturates, benzodiazepines and tricyclic antidepressants.

Can 140 mg. of Oxycodone (4, 30 mg. tabs) be fatal? My son died.?

If your son was not used to taking oxycodone, and therefore opiate naive, then this dose would have been significant for him. 4, 30 mg oxycodone tablets would have given him 120 mg, a dose equivalent to 181 mg of morphine. The normal first effect of opiates is drowsiness and respiratory depression, which may be increased if it was mixed with other medications/drugs or alcohol. The respiratory depression may also be coupled with a slowing of the heart rate, and central nervous system depression. If the effects of the depression of these systems is significant enough, it can result in a coma or death.

The effects of the medication on each individual is different, and therefore, only the medical examiner can say what the actual cause of death was.

The amount of oxycodone or any narcotic which is fatal varies greatly from one person to the next. Unlike a poison, where it is simple to determine the amount of a substance which is toxic to individuals, the deaths resultant from opiates are due to the effect of the opiate, and not the toxicity.

Therefore, some people with chronic pain syndromes can take 160mg of oxycodone and be alert and function, while a person unused to the opiate would have significant effects.

Also, it can depend on the method in which the opiate is taken. While an opiate taken orally will have less effect, if the medication were crushed and inhaled or injected it would have a much more significant effect. A high percentage of deaths from opiates, like oxycodone, are from being used experimentally in high doses or altered and taken in a method other than intended by the prescriber or manufacturer.

I am sorry for your loss.

I have been taking 30mg of oxycodone for a month.?

I have been taking oxycodone for about a month for neuropathic pain but I am going to stop because it makes breathing difficult What type of withdrawal can I expect? And for how long. I take 4 7.5 a day. never any more.

Oxycodone/hydrocodone....?

Last week I broke my arm, went to the ER, got x-rays, etc. It was a definite fracture to my humerus bone. At the ER, they prescribed me OXYCODONE-ACETAMINOPHEN 7.5-325. From the time i first started taking it, I noticed how well it worked for me and the side effects were not too bad. The next day, I went to an orthopedic surgeon to get my arm looked at further and they put a spint on it. That doctor, then prescribed me HYDOCODONE-ACETAMINOPHEN 7.5-500. I waited til I was done with the oxycodone and yesterday when I woke up with some pain, I started taking the hyrocodone. After about an hour or two, I was still hurting but I stuck it out til finally, I took another one. The pain subsided a little bit but then felt really groggy. I also noticed that I was becoming very irritable and moody. So, the hydrocodone makes me feel crappy and it seems to be weaker to me and I find myself taking it more often. Plus, the amount of acetaminophen is higher and I worry about taking more because of that.

Now, i have to go back to the doc on in two days. So my question is, since these drugs are considered narcotics, am I going to have a problem with telling the doc that as long as this pain keeps up, I want to go back to taking the Oxycodone 7.5-325? Would it sound better if I just tell him that I never filled the one for the hydrocodone and to please prescribe the Oxycodone instead?
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

What is the street value of 30mg of oxycodone?

Since the DEA cracked down on doctors prescribing any opiates, supply has dropped and demand has risen. Last I heard, $1 per mg. was the going rate here. Heroin is cheaper. Heroin laced with fentanyl is really cheap as you only have to use it once to die forever. You never know what you're buying on the street unless you have a very reliable, smart supplier. Deaths from dope laced with fentanyl are rising as fentanyl is easily manufactured outside regulated labs. You'd be just as well off flushing your money down a toilet then jumping in a chipper. Good luck.
