How Long Does It Take To Get A Yahoo Directory Submission Processed I

How long does the hiring process usually take?

Don't ever count on an interview. Apply for both. I just did this two weeks ago, completed both interviews, and am now faced with 2 job offers and have to choose by Monday. That is a much better position to be in then not having any job offers.

Normally in office support it does not take too long to hire someone, unless its a very lackluster candidate pool. Most places will know within a week of their final interview. Asking if there is a time frame on when the final decision will be made is always a good idea at the end of your interview. Two weeks is usaully the maximum, but the larger the company the longer the decision process as well. Many times with busy executives they have a difficult time finding time to replace their Admin. Assisants and Office supporters due to the very fact that they are gone. If one is a government position then who knows how long you can be waiting, as there are lots of processes and forms and people to gather for interviews.

You can always accept something else later. Remember first and foremost - you work for your benefit.

Best of Luck and Happy Hunting.

What went wrong with Yahoo? It was once worth almost $125 billion, but today sold to Verizon for $5 billion.

There is no one single reason that Yahoo "went wrong", which I assume means that they aren't seen as one of the top couple of internet companies like they once were. There are product reasons, strategic reasons, and cultural reasons. Some top of mind examples though:Focusing so much for years on Panama (Google Adwords competitor) and search in general, when they ended up losing to Google and eventually outsourcing this to Microsoft.Becoming too unfocused. Yahoo tried to do everything and triggered the famous Peanut Butter Manifesto from Brad Garlinghouse that summarized this problem well. The shift from a desktop world where everyone used home pages to a mobile and social world. Yahoo failed to build their own successful mobile and social products or to acquire any. Yahoo got too bloated, and nobody would ever make the cuts needed to both headcount and its products/properties.Buying Flickr, then letting it languish. Buying Flickr for $35 million was a bargain when you see how huge social photos are today. They could have turned Flickr into the next Facebook or Instagram and instead didn't invest properly in it.Failing to acquire Google and then Facebook. Yahoo had opportunities to buy both of these companies when it was clear they were going to be big successes and instead wouldn't pay what was needed. For example, they had a deal to buy Facebook for $1.1 billion pretty much accepted, then Yahoo's earnings came out and the value of the deal dropped to 800M due to stock compensation and Zuckerberg balked when Yahoo wouldn't change the deal to put the price back up. Think about the value of Facebook today and that Yahoo didn't acquire them over a $300M difference.Leadership changes. Looking at companies like Google and Facebook you'll see that the same leadership has essentially been in place the whole time. Yahoo has had a shifting cast of CEOs and executive teams that has never provided a longer term vision and execution path to take shape.Acceptance of lower quality employees. By the time I worked at Yahoo from 2007-2010, there were still a ton of great A-quality people there, but there were also a lot of B or C-quality people who were not outstanding at their work. This starts to eat away at the company and make the A-players go work elsewhere. There are more reasons, but these provide a good summary...

How long is 1 to 2 business day?

One to two business days.

If the first business day was Friday, you wouldn't count Saturday or Sunday (and if the next day was Christmas, you wouldn't count that, either) so the second business day would be Tuesday.

Sql injection related question?

sql injections can be made in the input feilds in your forms, one way to deal with it is in your processing page (aka the page the submit button takes you to) you should use mysql_real_escape sting (you can find this on php.net and w3schools on the ways to do this) so what you do is you get the variable $_POST['first_name'} and turn it into a variable $firstname = $_POST['first_name']; then you put something like $firstname = mysql_real_escape($firstname); and that should work

You can also put str_replace and take out any semi colons if you wanted to be fully sure

In terms of whether to use post or get method it only means the form variables will either be passed in the url or not in the url, it wont affect your chances against an sql attack

What is service oriented Architecture?

What is service-oriented architecture?
An introduction to SOA

By Raghu R. Kodali, JavaWorld.com, 06/13/05

Service-oriented architecture (SOA) is an evolution of distributed computing based on the request/reply design paradigm for synchronous and asynchronous applications. An application's business logic or individual functions are modularized and presented as services for consumer/client applications. What's key to these services is their loosely coupled nature; i.e., the service interface is independent of the implementation. Application developers or system integrators can build applications by composing one or more services without knowing the services' underlying implementations. For example, a service can be implemented either in .Net or J2EE, and the application consuming the service can be on a different platform or language.

Service-oriented architectures have the following key characteristics:

* SOA services have self-describing interfaces in platform-independent XML documents. Web Services Description Language (WSDL) is the standard used to describe the services.
* SOA services communicate with messages formally defined via XML Schema (also called XSD). Communication among consumers and providers or services typically happens in heterogeneous environments, with little or no knowledge about the provider. Messages between services can be viewed as key business documents processed in an enterprise.
* SOA services are maintained in the enterprise by a registry that acts as a directory listing. Applications can look up the services in the registry and invoke the service. Universal Description, Definition, and Integration (UDDI) is the standard used for service registry.
* Each SOA service has a quality of service (QoS) associated with it. Some of the key QoS elements are security requirements, such as authentication and authorization, reliable messaging, and policies regarding who can invoke services.

I had my record sealed, but Mugshots.com still has my mugshot and I want it removed. What can I do?

Fuck Mugshots .com!Here’s what you can do…Instead of spending your hard earned cash paying them to remove your photo. Or hours trying to get your records expunged. Just water them down. It’s simple. Nobody goes past the 3rd page of Google results. Google shows the most relevant content at the top for the search that’s submitted. If mugshots .com or any other site is the top result for your name search, then you need to improve your online presence.Get your name (as people or employers would search it) on as many high ranking sites you can. Here’s an example of a close friend of mine, who was arrested for a simple traffic violation a few years ago.Enkose Plummer.Page 1Page 2Page 3Notice how his mugshot pictures are all the way on page 3. Page 4 would probably be the safest, but he’s getting there. This is because his name is all over high quality sites. Such as youtube, soundcloud, linkedIn, Pinterest, Vimeo, Medium, etc.Sign up for the sites that will always rank over sketchy mugshot sites. And it shouldn’t take long to water them down to the point of oblivion…RESULT PAGE 4.Don’t pay them money. Out play them. Play the system. Or better yet, the algorithim. And one day, they’ll dwindle out of business.Hope this helps. If so, follow my quora below for more of my answers like this!P.S.- Hope you don’t mind Enkose. It’s to help the victims of shady mugshot scams.

How long before my first paycheck at Walmart?

You won't get paid. (I'm assuming you have an hourly job?) Your timesheet is usually processed the week before your paycheck. If you started on the Monday and the Friday you were to be paid, then that means the paycheck would have been processed the Friday before you were there. Instead, you would have to wait another two weeks and then get paid. The next Friday, your timesheet would be processed and the following Friday, you will receive your paycheck for your first and second week of work. You won't get paid for the three weeks. Instead, you will get that last week of work in a separate check.

The thing is, you don't get paid for the exact week(s) you worked; it's the previous week(s). Let's imagine you work Monday, August 2 and payday is Friday, August 13. Your paycheck isn't from August 2 - August 13, it's actually from July 26 - August 6. This is because they take time to process the time you worked. If they were to pay you for August 2 - August 13, then they would have to have prepared a check for you before you actually finished working, you understand? (You would still be working on the Friday you get your paycheck. And even if they waited until the end of the work day, it would take a lot longer than an hour or so to have your paycheck prepared).

I tried to explain with examples so you could understand how you get paid. Be sure to look on your pay stub, it'll show you the pay period dates corresponding to that paycheck. I bet you it won't match up to the date of the past two weeks you worked.

So in short, no, you won't get paid (unless they processed the paychecks while you were working there and then yes, you might get paid for a day or two). And no, you won't get paid for three weeks. Imagine you left your job the Friday you got paid. That following pay period, even though you are no longer working there, you will receive another paycheck that consists of that extra week of work.

Really hoping that's not confusing,
Asia
