How Long In Advance Should I Do Makeup Before Formal

Makeup for 8th grade formal?

No need to fear, Micaela is here!
Eyes: If I were you I'd do a nice gold shimmer eye shadow on my eye lid and drag a dark kind of brown into my crease and then add a light shimmery highlight under my brow.
Foundation: I absolutley love Maybeline's BB cream and would go with that or Cover Girl's 3 in 1 foundation. Don't forget to conceal your under eyes too!
Cheeks: i would do a light cream color.
Lips: You should also use a light pink color lipstick followed by a lip gloss the same color or clear.
Don't forget to do your eyebrows either!

Last but not least
Your hair should either be straight down or in a curled ponytail and if you have like side bangs that won't go in your ponytail, curl them. I think you'd look nice with curly hair too. (:

I think I might do a tutorial on this on YouTube soon so if you want to check it out subscribe to me at Micaela Ristau.

I'm going to prom, but I don't wear makeup? Help?

So I never wear makeup even even though I've had acne for the past 5 years (which is finally going away). I just don't believe in wearing makeup because I don't like how I look when I take it off and because I feel like I deceived myself. And I just like believing that I'm beautiful inside and out.

With that being said, yes, I'm going to prom this year. Makeup at prom is pretty standard. And...
1. I don't know how to use makeup
2. Should I go against my choice not to wear makeup? Personally I think that since this is a pretty special day that I should wear makeup, and that way I don't stand out in a weird way.

But if I do wear makeup, I need to learn how to use it. So, if someone could maybe link down some really in depth instructions from YouTube for inexperienced people like me, that would be really nice.

Also, just tell me your opinion on the situation. It would be really nice. Thank-you.

Should a 16-year-old wear makeup to a wedding?

I started wearing makeup when I was in middle school, probably because my mom always did. Our mothers influence us, regardless of whether or not we want them to. Perhaps your mom is so against it for you because there's something in her own mind against it in general, or for herself. Maybe she thinks makeup is only for those trying to "cover something up," and therefore they are going to be judged negatively, so she judges negatively as well. I'm not sure. I think you should form your own opinion about makeup, and not let your mom make you feel bad about it. Perhaps you'll feel that makeup is something you don't really want to use in general, or perhaps you'll feel like using light makeup on a fairly regular basis, or whatever. Whatever you do, I really think you're old enough at this point to make up your mind about it on your own. Unless you overdo your makeup, my own personal opinion is that there's nothing wrong with it. You might want to talk to your mom about WHY she feels the way she does about makeup, and when it all started, what her mom's opinion about makeup was, etc. That way you might understand your mom's view more. Good luck. :)

Where should i get my make-up done for prom?

Call your local department stores. Most make-up counters will do your makeup for free. (Macy's, Belk, Dillards, etc.) I did it for my anniversary the other night. Tell them it's for prom. Sometimes you need an appt. But, sometimes it's just walk-in. They use the counter samples on you. But, they'll macth it up to your skin tone. Make sure you tell them what color you're wearing so they can compliment that.

See if they'll give you samples to take, buy some make-up there (same that they put on you), or take some of your owon. Most proms will give you a number for your pics. You don't want to be dancing all night & then take your pics last w/o freshening up your make-up!

How can I write an e-mail requesting a makeup test to a professor?

Ok, something like this. I’d say it’s 50/50. But it doesn't hurt to ask, no decent teacher gets upset over a polite request. Also, no details about why you missed the test. Maybe a 2 or 3 word phrase like “family emergency” “sickness” “medical problem” Never tell them your grandma died. If they want specifics to make their decision they will ask. And whatever and however they respond, your reply should be “I understand. Thank you.” Last, you’d be better off asking in-person in office hours. It’s simply harder to say no to a person in the room with you than to an email.Dear Professor X,I missed our test in {class name] on {date} due to a [family emergency]. I’m dedicated to doing well in your class, and would very much appreciate the opportunity to makeup the test at your convenience. Thank you very much and I look forward to talking with you.Best,[you]

Should I charge my friend to do her makeup?

My friend has asked me to do her makeup for an event, I agreed of course. (I'm a fully qualified makeup artist, starting out). I'm doing both her hair and makeup, and anyone that wears makeup out there knows that it's expensive. I'm also driving out to her house to do a trial a week before the event. I'm unemployed and struggling to even afford to build up a makeup kit, she has a job and I'm wondering if I should charge her for the makeup? (Not the trial, I'll do that for free). How much would YOU charge? If at all? I feel awkward because she's a friend but at the same time this is a business.

What is included in a Sephora makeup appointment?

Anything you want. You bring us a look, we will duplicate it. If you want to consult, we will consult. If you want us to design a look for you we will. If you want prom makeup or wedding makeup or just want to learn how to do a smoky eye we will do it for you. I have had clients in my chair for two hours on halloween while I have transformed them. We cater to the client and your individual needs. The fine print is that you must spend $50 or more on the day of your appointment; everything else is in your hands.

What dress to wear with a back brace? (semi formal)?

Hi,
Unfortunately I have a fractured spine (lower back) and I am in a brace. The brace covers my low back and above my belly button. My semi formal is in two weeks and I would really like to go. I know I won't be able to dance fully... But I need help finding a style of dress that would look cute and conceal the brace. It obviously can't be something too tight. Maybe a short princess style. I still want to feel cute lol. Thanks in advance for any help!
