How Long Will It Be Before Xmas Is Banned In Canada As Offensive To Ethnic Minorities

How long am I banned from Wal-Mart for shoplifting?

Today, I was Christmas shopping and after going to Charlotte Russe and Yankee Candle I went to Walmart. I picked out some stuff for my friends and went to self checkout.. I paid for a couple of the things but got some gel pens for free.... Than being stupid and not just leaving I got 4 (sets of 3) packs of gum and went to the self checkout. There were people behind me so I think subconsciously I knew I would be caught.. Anyways I scanned 2 out of 4 and proceeded than I heard Miss and this woman came up to check the receipt and stuff... She talked to the manager and I was sobbing during this and she said they checked the cameras and I did not scan it on purpose and I was banned from walmart and if I was seen in walmart I would be charged with trespassing...

Am I banned for life? I hate how I ****** up.. She didn't take any of my information at all. I'm really scared right now, I regret it so much like I went home and just cried.. It was bad.

Does saying “Merry Christmas” really offend some people in the UK/USA?

We need to talk about the war on Christmas.I am from the UK. From a very multicultural city, and I have never heard of, let alone experienced, anyone being offended by ‘Merry Christmas’. The so-called “war on Christmas” is simply non-existent.But it’s not just a myth; there’s more to it.For far too long, Christmas – a time for peace, love and respect – has been used as a weapon to propagate hate through ignorance and fear. Like in the US, the media use exaggerated, if not completely fabricated stories to divide society and engender racial tension. No, that is not a satirical piece; that is a genuine UK newspaper article. The far-right use cultural differences to scare people into believing their culture is at risk. From fringe-fascists to the President of the United States—everyone who benefits from their voter-base being scared into supporting hateful politics uses this tactic.Trump claims Obama refused to say ‘Merry Christmas’, despite him doing it in every single presidential Christmas address. He treats ‘Happy Holidays’ as an anti-Christmas, anti-Christian, and (let’s be frank) anti-White phrase, when in fact it is simply designed to wish everyone, irrespective of faith, a peaceful and special time. It didn’t start with Trump, however; the UK sees threats about ‘offended muslims demanding Christmas trees be taken down’ every year. They are lies, they misrepresent the views of the vast majority of the population, and their sole purpose is to alienate minorities and spread hate.We need to tackle this narrative. It is toxically powerful. One of the most successful tools in Trump and co.’s arsenal is the suggestion that the minority pose a threat to the majority’s livelihoods.Sure, many non-Christians don’t celebrate Christmas. After all, Christmas is traditionally a Christian holiday. But traditionally is the operative word; I am an atheist, and I have always celebrated it. The same can be said of many Muslims, Jews, Hindus and all other religions and cultures that are united by the values Christmas represents. It’s kind of what Christmas is all about.

Are other countries as politically correct as the United States?

So you're asking are other countries as politically correct as the nation whose highest film awards have been accused of racism, whose leading political candidate has suggested banning an entire religious group from entering the country (and who does impressions of people with disabilities) and which produces shows like South Park, Family Guy and Archer? The answer is yes. Political Correctness is just a derogatory term for "respect" and most other countries want people show a bit of respect from time to time. I don't think other nations are in the grip of an inflated, paranoid "Anti PC Panic" like a lot of people in the USA seem to be. In most nations if a candidate stood up and said "I'm not politically correct!" people would think they were a bit of a dick. In America it gets cheers. The difference isn't the level of respect people want. Its the fact that Americans try and demonise that respect by calling it "Political Correctness" and trying to claim it's somehow more evil than doing impressions of people with disabilities on national television.

Do you put a greeting card in your neighbor's mailbox or do you mail it with all the other cards?

It is illegal to access somebody's mail box this is a big no,no...that' a federal offense...always mail your cards or letters.

How is Santa Claus "religious" or offensive?

They're not allowing any Santa-themed decorations in the office, including hats and evergreen trees.

Yet they allowed jack-o-lanterns on Halloween.

I honestly couldn't care less about Santa but I'm really bothered by the reasoning. How can Santa be "religious" while jack-o-lanterns are not?

Is it OK to send a Christmas card to a Jehova's witness?

No, a Christmas card wouldn't be appreciated unless maybe you sent a card with these verses. Then they might like it.

Jeremiah 10:2 Thus says Jehovah: "Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple.

Donald Trump: Should I, a Muslim living in Canada, be afraid of Donald Trump winning and his policies spreading to Canada?

Unfortunately, islamophobia in Canada didn't come from Donald Trump. It was already here, just like it was in the US. Trump is just exploiting and stoking the fear and hatred for a political purpose, like other demagogue scumbags have in he past.Since the Paris massacre and the firming up of American and Canadian plans to bring in a modest number of Syrian refugees, instances of anti-Muslim hooliganism in Toronto and Mississauga have sharply increased. They normally consist of nocturnal vandalism, but more recently there's been a spate of daylight confrontations between Muslim women walking alone and men in groups of up to three. In one incident, the woman was pregnant. In another, the woman was on her way to pick up her child after school. She was pushed around, her handbag was ransacked, and her cell phone was stolen.White supremacists are ranting loudly and openly (but of course anonymously) on unconcerned Canadian discussion groups on the Internet, just like they are on American and international ones.As a Canadian, I'm ashamed to say that in the current climate, blatant, mindless bigotry has become more "respectable" than it's been at any time since before World War II. Muslims are the lightning rod, but all decent people who remember the past have cause to be alarmed. And as in the past, our reaction is nearly catatonic. People look at what's right in front of them and don't see it. There are voices speaking out against it, but there aren't nearly enough, and are much too easily worn down and silenced by the endless spewing of hatred at loud volume. It's a climate where a cretin like Trump advocates the mass deportation of more than two million American Muslims and is one step away from advocating concentration camps for the rest, and still enjoys the highest level of support within his party and is only one percentage point behind the leading Democrat candidate in the popularity polls.Who knew it could happen again this soon.

Shipping from Australia to Canada?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to ship an item from Australia to Canada. It might be a long shot but any chances of it getting here by Christmas assuming they ship it in two days from today (Dec. 14)?
