Does unr have a horse back riding program?

The UNR Wolf Pack may have a pretty campus, but, they will have nothing to do with an equine program. I went through all of the academic programs and found nothing about horses, much less horse back riding. Try the University of Arizona or UC Davis in California.

** Below is a paragraph taken from the UC Davis Aggies website in regards to their equestrian program. They also boast one of the best Veterinary Colleges in the country, especially for horses....

....The 25-acre Equestrian Center operates an extensive year-round English and Western riding program, horse boarding facilities, and features a 45,000-square-foot indoor riding arena, four barns, and several pastures. Whether you’re brand-new to the sport or an experienced rider, you’ll gain skills and confidence under the direction of our professionally trained staff.

What's the oldest casino in Las Vegas?

The oldest casino in Las Vegas, still open and operational, is the Golden Gate casino, downtown on Fremont St.  Golden Gate first opened as the Hotel Nevada in 1906.  It took on its current name, Golden Gate, in 1955.(Present day)(Late 1950s)(1906, as the Hotel Nevada)It's worth noting Golden Gate is too old for it to have seen continuous gambling as we know it today.  It opened as the Hotel Nevada in 1906.  In 1909, gambling was made illegal in Nevada and so only card rooms and other styles of gaming existed.  Small stakes games, "social games", and games with non-monetary payout (free drinks or cigars) were gradually allowed more and more.  In 1931, however, gambling as we know it was again made legal in Nevada.  At that point, Hotel Nevada changed its name to Sal Sagev Casino ("Las Vegas" backwards), then changed to its current name in 1955.As far as the Strip goes, the Flamingo is the oldest casino still in operation.  It first opened in 1946, though the current buildings are not the originals. The Flamingo of old.  The main road running from upper left to lower right of the picture is the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd).  The Bellagio is now where the Dunes used to be. (Modern Flamingo... actually a few years ago since that's Toni Braxton on the side and she was replaced as the headlining act at Flamingo by Donny and Marie Osmond a few years ago)The Flamingo was opened by Bugsy Siegel, and named after his girlfriend (her long, skinny legs reminded him of a Flamingo).  Siegel actually purchased a 2/3 stake in the Flamingo project, along with his mob partners, because he wanted to get involved with a casino outside the Las Vegas city limits (which the Strip officially is) since city officials weren't too fond of his checkered background.  Prior to that, he'd owned the El Cortez downtown, close to the Golden Gate and Fremont St.  He didn't last long, though - Siegel was shot to death the year after Flamingo opened.
