How Many Of You Are Actually Spanish And Can Support Spanish Clubs

How are Spanish football clubs able to buy so many world class players while clubs elsewhere in Europe struggle to keep their own players?

"Spanish Clubs able to buy world class players"- JOKE.Real Madrid, Barcelona and newly Atletico Madrid are able to buy world class Players. - Truth. The tax laws in Spain are favourable to players set at 24%. In other countries it varies anywhere from 30-50%.According to the new FFP rules, the clubs have to earn nearly as much as they spend. This helps Spanish clubs in an Indirect way.The Premier League and most other leagues have equal distribution of TV Rights money. In the Spanish league, Real Madrid and Barcelona sell their TV Rights independently and make 3-4 times than that of any other football club on the planet. The historical rivalry of Real Madrid vs Barcelona can be seen in a way between Spain and Catalunya. The History, The Players , The Trophy Cabinets are enough to make any player go week in the knees.REAL MADRID AND BARCELONA PLAYERS ARE SUPERSTARS. Now Atletico Madrid. In the 4 year period i.e. 2010-2014 Atletico have won 2 Europa leagues, 2 UEFA Super Cups , 1 Copa Del Rey and 1 La Liga. They have also reached the Final of UEFA Champions league in 2014.This has made Atletico an attraction to world class players. Coach Diego Simeone has guided this team to reach far greater heights than it was ever expected to. He broke the Duopoly of THE BIG TWO to win the La liga.  Financially, Atletico have been better off  than most other Spanish clubs(except Real & Barca) almost throughout their History. Due to additional Finance from their trophy exploits they are now able to attract world class talent. In an Era where the In Thing seems to be "If You Can't Beat Them Join Them".  Atletico Madrid seems to offer players to be competitive and Show-up to the might of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Do Spanish people support other Spanish speaking teams at the World Cup?

No, I really don't think so. You don't support the language, you support the team , you support the SPANISH blood!! This happens as far as the SPANISH speaking teams are not your opponents! But yeah, what happens when they are not?? I'm an Indian, not a Spanish; so my answer will undoubtedly be a guess. What would you have done for a country speaking your language?? I remember, during my childhood days I used to support West Indies in cricket against other teams because they were West INDIANS!! But I did not use to support Pakistan, in above similar conditions, though their language is somewhat similar to our mother language Hindi. Now that's where Patriotism kicks in!! ( My personal point of view.)So yeah, I think the same applies for spanish people. They will not support a country, even if they speak Spanish, with whom they had a troubled history. And after all, Spanish is spoken by many people in the world and you can't go on supporting every nation. Its my firm opinion, that as far as support is concerned, performance on the pitch should always overwhelm bromance or sis- romance( if there is such a word) for a nation with similar language.DOUBLE A.If you like this answer, please do not forget to upvote!!

Why do only Spanish football clubs dominate in the World?

Tradition, money and devotion are the main factors in making a club, and after that a certain league, successful at European level. Not so far ago, Italian clubs dominated Europe, and they were the first who conquered all the (then) three continental Cups: European Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup and UEFA Cup. They achieved a high level of organization in their league, invested huge amounts of money and took advantage of historical names such as Juve, Inter or Milan. The Italians fell victims of their own success, which became an enormous bubble. When the bubble exploded, another football-crazy country, Spain, took the lead thanks to Real Madrid and Barcelona, and a few other teams who wisely took advantage of all the movement these two giants generated.Spain is a country of 45+ million people which is literally brainwashed about football -myself included-. This is a huge lot of people spending each a bit of money in this circus and you also have a couple of clubs which are absolute monuments in this sport. You can make a lot of things with all this potential. In short, Spanish football is powerful because of Real Madrid and Barcelona, and because a few other cities are big enough to provide a big fan base to support heavy investments. If you compare this with, say, Germany, there is certainly some legends like Bayern; there is a huge lot of support and wonderful and healthy devotion about football, but not so much money invested on it.In the last years, you also have PSG in France, which invests obscene amounts of money, but is not surrounded by an appropriate atmosphere and general interest. There’s a mistery, though, about the English football. They created all this madness, they live it as crazily as anyone else, their fan base expands worldwide, and God knows they invest indecent amounts of money on it. however they hardly obtain any reward for it. If things happened logically, we should be living under a Premier League dictatorship.Fortunately, this is still a sport called football.

Spanish; how would you say attachment?

no, it's el adjunto! [think of English adjunct - a thing attached]

if you are serious about knowing Spanish get youself a good dictionary - either the big Oxford or the big Collins [ both about 2,000 pages]. Google translate is very poor, and online dictionaries are just not comprehensive enough other than for beginners. Even then they can mislead. A really good dic will give you examples of how the words are used.

PS you can use the verb adjuntar for enclosing something in a snail-mail letter, or attaching something to an e-mail

How much support does RCD Espanyol have in Barcelona and Catalonia?

Hi, I am 18 years old and I'm a RCD Espanyol supporter since I was born. That's a special feeling which cames from generations, from dad to son.I live in Barcelona and I would like to explain you a little bit about our dear club. However, I can surely say that many things that Barcelona fans or other people can explain about our club aren't truth. Most of this people, aren't enought informed about the history of RCD Espanyol, so they usually commit tipical mistakes when they talk about it.First of all, I would like to say that probably our team, is more catalan than FC Barcelona. Because RCD Espanyol was founded by a catalan whose name was Ángel Rodríguez. So that's something that FC Barcelona fans can't proud of it, cause their club was founded by Hans Gamper, from Switherland. However, RCD Espanyol colours, the blue and white, were come from Roger de Llúria who was and important soldier of Catalan's army in the past. On the other hand, Barcelona wears the same colours as Basilea FC.Also, a tipical mistake that people say about our team is that: They think that Espanyol fans feel more Spanish than Barcelona fans, etc. That's NOT TRUE. As each club, Espanyol fans are people from diferent nacionalities, ideologies, poltical thinkings, etc. It's a plural club. So Espanyol fans can't be catalogated as more Spanish, or more Catalan etc. Each fan has his own ideology or poltical thinking. Personally, I can prove this fact, cause I know many RCD Espanyol fans, and each of them has their own thoughts and beliefs, so they're not opine the same in poltical aspects for example. In conclusion, it's a plural club as many others. Finally, I would like to say that I don't know exactly the number of RCD Espanyol supporters in Barcelona but I read in a newpage that 3/10 of Catalonia habitants, are RCD Espanyol fans. So we're not very much but we're really proud to be supporters of this club, cause it's a strong feeling as I’ve told before. However, we are brave to defend what represents Espanyol everywhere we go cause in bad moments, we are caracterized for not leaving the team alone.

Who do Portuguese fans support in a football match between Brazil and Spain?

Portuguese would back Brazil. During 2018 FIFA World Cup, I realized a number of Brazilian supporters waving Portuguese flags during their match against Spain. It shows how much the Brazilians love Portugal.Of course, while Brazil used to be a former colony of Portugal, the Portuguese were not as bad as Spaniards did to its colony, and when Brazil became independent, the Portuguese were eager to have a good tie with Brazil.Brazil as younger brother of Portugal proved to be far better than their older brother in football, but Portugal’s Euro 2016 title impressed the Brazilians to later conquer Olympics 2016 gold medal. There is a deep respect between two, and since Portugal is not good as Spain as football, they will support Brazil against Spain.

Why should I support Real Madrid?

There ain't another club like Real Madrid and the truth is that actually many wont like the club for its principles or philosophy. At Real Madrid fans dont support the club to be the best because it is the best club in the world. Winning Champions League isn't an acheivement for the club it is the just an expected outcome of a normal GOOD season. Real Madrid is the only team that consider Champions League as one of its domestic tournaments. Winning Copadelrey doesn't even matter for the club.At Real Madrid fans dont expect the club to win, they expect the club to win in style. That is why even under the Mourinho (KNOWN FOR HIS PRAGMATIC AND Boring style in Chelsea) Real Madrid maintained an existing style of defending but constantly coubter attacking football that led the club to its massive wins against Barca and like opponents.Galactico policy was just an outcome of this line of thinking and orginally was intended to bloster the youth academy of the club. PLaying with marquee player of the world inspires young cadets of the academy and may push them to excel for the club even more. The club unlike teams of EPL isn't owned by millionaires or big corporate businesses, Real madrid is owned by a huge group of fans called "Socios" numbering about 88000 I think. There are three other clubs in Spain with the same model Barcelona, Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao. These Socios elect a president who has extensive powers and controls and dictate the club's direction till his term gets over. Because of this, the club actually listens to their fans, fans thus enjoy extensive control over the club affairs something missing in EPL teams which mostly treat fans as just a third person to the team (note Man U, Newcastel)In the end nobody cares if u support one club or the other, u can descide to support one purely from their core philosophy.

How was Real Madrid associated with Spanish dictator Francisco Franco?

here is a brief history of the misconception between real Madrid and Franco:

it has nothing to do with the foundation of Real Madrid for Madrid was founded in the late 1800's and officially labeled on march 6th 1902,however,barcelona and atletico Madrid are also involved in the story.Real Madrid, like barca and atletico were regular clubs.the Spanish dictator, Francisco Franco, wanted to show his dominance on all fields, from military to economics and to spread word faster he he wanted to get involved in the sports as sports, football in particular, were of large influence in Spain, Catalonia and Europe.so then, upon knowing of such corruption and in attempt to flee from any political influence and be neutral real Madrid dropped from its emblem the crown bestowed to the club by the Franco's enemy the king of Spain, also, they dropped the Real title and were simply know as Madrid FC.Still, being one of the most influential clubs, the young madrid was pursued by franco so they decided that to ease away from corruption they would break up,knowing this, franco recruited one of his generals and placed him in charge as president of real Madrid.with a military figure directly connected to the dictator, Madrid had no other option than to follow orders.yes,at the moment real madrid was perhaps the best club, adding on the influence of franco, they became the untouchables and were threatened themselves to stay on top.however, the general left and was replaced by a non political figure as franco turned his attention to the newly emerged Atletico Madrid and that ever since became the team which he himself personally influenced. Catalonia, also had problems with the dictator as they considered Catalonia a separate entity and were also threatened by Franco,to abstain from complete annihilation, barcelona, fearing franco decided to be a part of his regime rather than oppose so they reaped the benefits of winning 9 league titles during which time madrid lived for 21 years without gaining any form of success. So to sum it up,real madrid were forced to obey, barcelona offered their service and atletico madrid became franco's loved team.

Are there any rowing clubs in Granada, Spain?

I do not think so. You have to go to Malaga as far as I know.

I have seen eights and sculling in Seville Looks fun on the river there.
