How Many People Do You Think Touched A Penny Before You Receive It

Do you ever wonder how many filthy hands have touched the coins and bills that are in your pocket/purse?

No,
I rarely have cash... a debit card is handier .... and cleaner

Why shouldn’t I let a nail and penny touch each other?

This does not belong under anatomy. There is no reason not to let a penny touch your fingernail. But you can plate copper from a penny on to an iron nail under some conditions.

If you could guess, how many people do you think touched my dollar bill before it got to me?

Well the number would necessarily depend on many factors, most obviously age of the bill, as I have some bills from 2009 in my wallet at the moment. If you guess that a bill would average a week in a bank before turn around, and say a week in a person's wallet, which I think would be a long time, It would touch person > cashier > manager/depositor > bank representative counting deposit > bank representative dispersing to next person every 2 weeks. This gives what I believe would be a VERY conservative estimate of 10 people per month, or 120 people per year touching it.In other words, wash your hands after you touch it, just like you should wash your hands after touching the bottom of your shoe! This is exactly how often cocaine and feces show up on your dollar bills

Do you think pennies are worthless?

Its sad that many people think they arent worth anything when they are. In my college, people just leave them on the floor and i just collect them. I have been saving them for 6 years, and i was surprised that all the peenies were worth $800. I think its comes in handy right now. What do you think?

Does sticking a penny under your tongue really give you a fever?

No but as many people who touched the penny before you, maybe you'll get sick from all the germs on it! Don't put money in your mouth!

PS why would you want to give yourself a fever in the first place?

I'm a guy and i love putting pennies in my mouth?

Oops, when I first read your question, I thought you said something other than pennies, in which case it could just be an oral fixation and not necessarily anything more.

As for pennies and other coins, there is a metallic taste to them that you might like, and your body needs a certain amount of heavy metals; but too much can be dangerous. Personally, I prefer to get my heavy metal through headphones.

And, money is very dirty. Lots of germs. If you're going to put money in your mouth, it would be a good idea to boil the money first. Other types of cleaners can leave a harmful residue that you shouldn't put in your mouth.

Overall, it seems like a bad idea to put money in your mouth. A wallet or a pocket seems like a much better place. Aside from germs, there is a choking hazard. And, aside from the germs on the money before you put it in your mouth, you add germs. Some people might not want to handle your money after it's been in your mouth.

Mouth germs don't live very long outside of the mouth, but still, can you imagine when you're standing in line at McDonald's and the you pay be spitting out coins? You might as well be crapping them out the other end; nobody wants to touch that.

Why don't you get braces instead; then you can run your tongue along the metal braces and no one will care. And you won't have any money left to put into your mouth.

Why do people place a coin on a dead body's forehead?

There is no scientific or logical reason for this. The body disintegrates the same regardless of the placement of a coin on the forehead. The act is a cultural practice (tradition or custom) followed by people of certain criteria (such as Hindus). It is said that the coin (usually 1 major unit of local currency, e.g. ₹1 or $1) is placed to remind those paying a visit to the dead person that when you die, you cannot take any wealth or possessions of this world with you -- not even a single coin. The coin is a reminder to the living that greed for material wealth is a vain exercise and should be avoided. Perhaps this could be an epistemic reason for its placement.See Why Hindu people put a coin on fore head of a dead body

Does sucking on a penny really make you sick?

lol probably they smell funny why would you do that anyways? haha

I have this huge bump on my chin, its like the size of a penny, it hurts so much when i touch it.?

It sounds like you have a boil. Do not try to pop a boil, as this will only make it worse, and cause it to get bigger, and be more painful. Try applying heat to it (just soak a wash cloth in very hot water) and let the hot cloth stay on the affected area for about 10 minutes a few times a day (morning/night), for several days or how ever long it takes for it to reduce in size/go away. Hydrogen Peroxide will also aid in healing it faster because it dries the boil out and also disinfects it.
