How Many People Hate This New Ya Interface

Why do people hate Apple so much and insult people who like them?

For the past two years or so I have been an Apple fan (iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro) and one of the main things I have noticed is all the blatant hatred for Apple, and sometimes it really depresses me for buying them.

I have never encountered the "arrogance" that so many people comment on. I don't feel that iOS is better than Android, it just works better for me. iOS is getting a little stale, but android has its issues. To me it should all be based on preference, but I'm constantly reading that Windows and Android are better than iOS and OSX in every way and that Apple users are "dumb" and pay for "overpriced crap". I don't get that, iPhones and iPads are the same price as high end androids. Yes, Android can do more, but if iOS can do all I need and does it in a way that fits me isn't that all the matters? I feel that Apple products are top quality, but what works for me not work for others.

There is no denying that Apple has been a large innovator, as has Samsung, Motorola, etc. They started the modern tablet war and helped push smartphones forward, even if they have fallen behind lately. Why are they hated for it?

Why is it such a heated topic. To me they are equal, but sometimes people really make me feel bad about my stuff and people claim that Apple will die and all my purchases will be useless.

To you think I'm just to sensitive? Why is Apple considered to be utter crap on nearly all forums, blogs, and news sites (Cnet). What did they do to be so hated?

I've wanted to ask this for a very long time...

Why people hate symbian ^3?

Truth be told, Symbian^3 is not as comfortable to use as Android. It has many traces of the non-touch Symbian interface, which is full of lists, and not good looking icons. If you owned a Symbian 60 3rd Edition phone before, Symbian^3 would be easy to use. People degraded it because the first batch of Symbian^3 devices did not have 1Ghz processors which competing phones had. They did not know that Symbian is the most resource effective OS, which means Symbian can run fast on weaker processors with the same efficiency as 1Ghz processors of other OSs. Little do those trolls know that the slow processors prolong battery life, and does not perform badly either. People also quite dislike it more because Mr. Elop of Nokia said they are going to abandon it by 2016. You are right that the apps from Nokia (They changed the Ovi Store to Nokia Store) Store is sufficient for daily use, but people want more all the time. They are proud that they are part of "Android" that has hundreds of thousands of apps. In truth, they have a few hundred or so apps. Eye candy of Symbian^3 was very late.

I do not know about the popularity of the N8 in my country (most have budget touchcscreens only), but I think many teens want it because of the excellent camera. I have an N8, and I bought it over Android alternatives because of:

I've only had Nokia phones all my life.
When I asked for the N8 in the store (prepaid), it had a free 16GB USB.
It's camera was unmatched.
It was a lot cheaper.
I needed some default Symbian apps Android lacks.

NEW FORMAT... do you have the same problems & concerns I do?

I severely dislike the new format of YA! and have many issues with it as well.
I agree with you that it isn't very user friendly nor thoughtful in design.

There also seems to be a glitch where sometimes when I ask a question, I'll be able to see it, but nobody else can...and thus it never gets answered. Maybe that is why there seems to be fewer questions being asked in some categories because the new YA! is eating them up instead of posting them.

I also noticed problem number 2 that you mentioned. Another strange glitch.
They might as well just keep the old one if they don't have the time to fix it... There are very few perks to the new one....and is overall just a downgrade.

The only positive thing about it is being able to see the images/or video on the answers without having to click on the link if one is posted. However, I would much rather lose this new addition and keep the old format.

Usually when website formats change on other sites, there will be a few days of complaints, but most people will get use to it after those few days (such as facebook youtube, etc.) but no matter how many times I use the new YA! I can't get use to it at all and there has been complaints for about a month.

I think one improvement they could make is to have the left side bar be colored purple. RIght now it's on a very light grey background and it visually blends in too much with the white center body of the page. Just having more contrast between the sidebars and the main body can be more of an improvement in its design.

Why does my facebook chat say people go offline when i try to talk to them?

Ya don't worry dude it's all glitches in facebook chat. It happens to me ALL the time. Sometimes it will say they sign back on though so don't give up the second it says they are offline, resend your message a few times. It will also say they are online if they send a message to you. But it would probably be easier to just talk to them on a separate instant messenger like AIM

I HATE the new yahoo homepage 2015. I see it in chrome how do i get rid of it?

The layout looks copied right from Answers.com. Absolutely crap. Come on Yahoo at least give us the link to click back the old page like you have always done in the past?

What do you think of the new Yahoo format?

Personally I can't stand it. On the yahoo answers homepage, look for the international tab. click on canada or uk and it will open up with the previous green layout. this is what I am currently using.

What do you hate most about Google?

When they put your site on a list of 'HARMFUL SITES" and your browser puts a big red warning. "Enter at your own Risk.  This site is potentially harmful to your computer..." AND THEY GIVE YOU NO FRK'N IDEA WHAT THE PROBELM IS.  On a day your business is running a daily deal with Amazon. (sighh)And then after you take your site down, move it to another hosting provider and replace all of your code fresh from your hard drive because you are clueless how to otherwise trouble shoot this overwhelming alarming mishapp.  And then and you ask for a review and they take TWO DAYS to clear your site.Of course you have no way to communicate to get more information, or request a quicker review because there are no human beings at Google that interface with the public. (sighh again)It sucks to be at the mercy of a giant like Google.  I now see just how beholden we ALL are to Google.  Google controls the internet--make friends with it, understand it, harness it's power!
