Do people delete their answers on my questions?
There are a few reasons this might happen: 1. The user deleted the answer before you saw it in the question 2. The answer was reported and removed before you saw it in the question 3. The answer is hung in the spam filter and only shows up for the user who posted it. It needs to be edited to get it to show up for others, but if the OP doesn't realize no one else can see it, they don't know to inquire about the issue and find out what to do to get it through the filter.

That’s variable. Quora’s Adam D’Angelo admitted that the “weight” of a user’s vote plays in a role in various ways on Quora. I’m unsure if it’s detrimental when it comes to reports, but the horrible way Quora has demonstrated in board moderation seems to be indicative of a very faulty mechanism by which Quora handles reports.Sometimes I report a comment and it gets instantly collapsed. Sometimes it’s deleted an hour later. Sometimes I report a comment and nothing happens to it for days. The weight of my profile weighed against that of the person I’m reporting definitely plays a role. How many upvotes they have is also a variable in the equation.Quora have demonstrated their willingness to give advantages to an elite few with their recently abolished “Featured” comments feature. More worthy comments were put at the top whereas ones written by the unestablished writers, were doomed to become a number laid out between parentheses next to a suitably named “Other” tab. Top Writers are those distinguished outside Quora rather than on it. And more followers, however generic and pandering your writing is, adds to this mysterious “weight,” some line of code only a handful of people can see.False hope placed in erroneously entrusted people. I might have written 300 answers here but I’m just as likely to report a question/comment/answer out of spite or write a slanderous “Featured” comment. Not the worst Quora’s done.

You might not have known before, but you need to understand what I’m about to tell you:It’s not your question any more.Sorry, but it’s not. That’s part of Quora’s rules - questions become part of the community once they’re submitted so that the question itself can be optimized if necessary (i.e. correcting grammar mistakes, fixing a few words, merging it with another question to reduce repetition of similar questions, etc).As a result, the answer to this question is no. You cannot delete others’ amswers to a question because neither the answer, nor the question, belongs to you under Quora’s rules.HOWEVER: There are two alternative solutions to this problem.If you want to delete the answer because it’s violating BNBR, you can report the answer. Go down to the three dot menu for the answer, click it, click ‘Report’, and go from there. You can either simply report it, or you can specify the violation of BNBR.If a Quora moderator agrees with you and actually feels like doing their job (they don’t always, so this option isn’t always reliable), the answer will be collapsed.By the way, when you report the question, the answer gets automatically downvoted. Enough down votes can collapse an answer by themselves, without needing a moderator to do it. So you can always bypass the report and just downvote the answer yourself, if you so desire.
How do I delete smutty answers to my questions? ?
You can report them as they are all telling you, it does take a few people to report the answer before it is deleted, if they find it is not questionable though they will not delete it. And then when you do report an answer they may not take you as seriously in the future. The more accurate the person reporting the answer the quicker the answer is deleted. the more accurate the person reporting it as well becomes a trusted reporter and has more influence on reporting abuse. And being a Top Contributor does not give you any more influence, it goes on your reporting history! I wish they would get a button for the ones that put IDK/I don't know/not sure etc they are just point pilfering and that is pretty annoying when you are the type of answerer who actually puts time and thought into your answers.
Do you think it's fair for Yahoo Answers to delete my question asking people if they'd pray for my brother?
I just received an e-mail from Yahoo Customer service stating that they have removed a question in which I asked the community if they would pray for my 29-year-old brother who is believed to have colon cancer. Twenty-eight people responded (because they cared?) - and I see that there are at least 49,000 other questions seeking prayer from the community... the "violation reason" listed for deleting my request was because of "solicitation" -- can anyone understand why my question would be picked out of the bunch, set apart from the rest, and isn't worthy of the same attention (or lack there of) as the other prayer requests? Thanks to those who said they would pray. This is a perfect example, in my opinion, of the types of things that will be happening in the last days... God Bless You All!!

Apart from what many people tend to believe, just because you report an account doesn’t mean Instagram delete it.Not even if you report it 10, 20, or 50 times, there’s no guarantee Instagram will delete the account.That’s because Instagram reviews the account before they proceed any action. If the account you have reported doesn’t actually break any rules, it won’t get deleted.However, if they have broken any rules, 1 report might be enough to get Instagram’s attention and get the account deleted.And to answer your second question, the only notification they’ll receive is the following:When they get deleted they won’t be able to log in to their account.Hope it helps!Jens
