100 years from now, Michael Jackson will be, at best, a footnote in history.Music, and most of the arts, for that matter, are quickly forgotten in the common consciousness. Especially popular music. Genres change quickly. Artists come and go. Face the fact. Michael Jackson may have been extremely popular, or talented. However, he made music. That is his legacy. That type of legacy will fade.Think about it a minute. 100 years ago, Enrico Caruso was a megastar, as was Rudolph Valentino. How many teenagers would even recognize those two names today? Very, very few.More recently, Elvis has been dead for nearly 40 years. This would be a pretty good comparison to Michael Jackson. 40 years of no new music. Sure, there are fans who still make their pilgrimages to Graceland. Look at the average age of those who go… They are not teenagers. How often do you hear an Elvis song on TV, or the radio? His fan base is getting older. He is becoming far less relevant.No matter how popular, or talented a performer, there will always be a new batch of equal or greater talents to replace them.

It’s just the intense emotion of watching such a great megastar that was and still is an idol to many people. It also depended on what song was being performed. The emotional ones caused more cryings than the others.

I think it's because they are watching there favorite artist do the moves and sing the songs the love the most. Michael being such the superstar he was had the power to make men cry. Even a man in a wheel chair passed out if out if you saw the dangerous tour in Bucharest. For the women, I think, the sight of if grabbing his crotch was enough to make them die. What can I say, Michael, was such a great artist and performer, he'd probably get me to faint.

Yeah, at the beginning of Moonwalker his movie, he's singing at a concert and every other scene was people going to the hospital tent. Um, I was wondering the same thing. I don't know if anyone actually died, but I do know (because this came from Michael's mouth) that they had about 5,000 faints every night.
