How were the effects of America's isolationism and Britains...?

America, through isolationism, ignored the problems of Europe, which affected them in a negative way. After the war Europe was suffering and couldn't compete with the hight tarrifs America were putting on their products so it was impossible to export over there. They ended up having to put up high tarriffs of their own and import cheaper grain from Canada. America suffered from the lack of trade, especially in agriculture where that had been many problems due to new machinery. Similarly by appeasing Hitler they thought they were protecting themselves, in this case by not starting the war. However, by ignoring Hitler and delaying the war, Britain allowed him to grow more powerful and ultimately suffered more due to the long hard years of war, which at the end left Britain no longer one of the super powers.
America also ignored the war til the last moment, they had the power and money to stop it quicker, but they instead merely loaned money and weapons, which was not enough, by entering towars the end they managed to help finish the war in a swifter fashion.
However, while Britain lost money and power due to appeasement, America by the end of the war could call back on loans and had the money from selling weapons and profited from it, along with the jobs it made, which helped solved some of the employment there, being more of a positive effect than negative, unlike Britain's appeasement policy.

What was the social effect of the Black Death?

The black plague essentially split people into three camps, from a social viewpoint.A.) The black death caused a large part of society to become disillusioned with the Catholic Church. If the church could not protect them from these dark and unknown at the time forces that were killing their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and other relatives, then what use were they?B.) There were many people who stuck with the church and either found a scapegoat (These people usually blamed Jewish people.), or they blamed themselves and their own vices.C.) There were many who began to live very self indulgent lives, as they did not know what would happen to them the next day.Another social impact was that the socioeconomic system of feudalism collapsed due to the massive decrease in population. About 40% of the European population perished, which created a high demand for labor. This high demand for labor lead to higher wages to tenants, which made these tenants way less dependent on their lords.Black death and the impact it left in europeThis article summarizes the black death very well, I suggest you give it a look.

What is the major drawback of capitalism as regard to today's society?

The major drawbacks of American capitalism are…the destruction of the free market by eliminating competition wherever possible, andthe redistribution of wealth that capitalists have imposed by undermining the balance of economic power through elimination of organized labor.Said another way…American capitalists are eliminating competitors through mergers and acquisitions in order to create monopolies. Where M&A has not worked, capitalists have amassed their wealth to influence regulators to make it extremely difficult for competitors to enter the market. Examples would be regional monopolies in health insurance and telecom, as well as airlines.Labor unions are the reason the middle class prospered until the 1980s when Reagan began to break up their power base. Unions gave us the 40-hour work week, paid vacations, pensions, health care, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits that capitalism would NEVER have provided had labor not become organized. Now that organized labor has been eliminated through Right to Work legislation, the balance of economic power is all but gone. Workers literally stand alone in their negotiations with the corporate systems. Pensions are disappearing. Vacation time is no longer accrued.Capitalism is destroying America. We need to either bring down capitalism and replace it with a true free market, or socialism is inevitable.
