How Much Better Can I Get In Speaking French In 50 Days

How many days does it take to master the French language?

In short: It depends on your motivation, how much time you devote to learning it and how much you practise it.In detail:Let me give you an (personal) example. I started learning French for the first time when I was in class 5 (2004–2005). How much did I learn? ALMOST NOTHING.Why? It was taught by school. It was taught in a pathetic manner. I had no intention to learn it. I could never understand the words, the importance of accents.Fast forward to January 2013. I was in college. I wanted to learn foreign languages so that I could understand the culture, their music, their history and the people. This time the motivation was personal. If you ask me if I learnt for professional purposes, my answer would be no. I wanted to learn it for myself, for personal satisfaction.I joined Alliance Francaise de Delhi in January 2013.Finished A1+A2 in December 2013.Finished B1 in December 2014. Cleared DELF B1 in September 2015Finished B2 in December 2015. Cleared DELF B2 in Spetember 2016.Went to France for an internship for 6 months.Cleared DALF C1 in June 2017. Aiming for DALF C2 in June or September 2018.If you go to Alliance Francaise and decide to study 8 hours a week (Intensive) (and you give in your best efforts! and keep clearing each level without repeating any, the duration of various levels areA1+A2 : 1 yearB1 : 1 yearB2 : 1 yearC1 : 6 - 9 MonthsIf you wish to appear for C2 or study for it, the classes happen in Pune. I’ve never seen DALF C2 happening in Delhi not heard about the classes.Bonne chance et Bon courage!

Do people in Louisiana speak French?

Yes, Native New Orleaninans know the history of Mardi Gras-the history and tradition is very significant. Mardi Gras is also celebrated in a very different and even more traditional way out in the country and in many small parishes in Louisiana. Yes, some people still speak French in Louisiana especially in the Acadiana portions of the State (think Lafayette and southern Bayous) area where Cajun French is still spoken as a first language in many families. Yes, it differs from other forms of French as it is an entirely different dialect. I can't explain how, but if you speak school French or French from a different region, you will notice the differeence very quickly.

How can i learn 300 words of french in 2 days?

Assuming you have flash cards or can make them, memorize them in small groups (like 5 at a time). Learn them both ways (English-French and French-English). Memorize the gender (if applicable) as you go. After you get 5 done, mix them up and repeat with the same set in a different order. Repeat for 6 sets (30 words total). Mix up the words across all of the sets and test yourself again, several times. Take a break and repeat for the other sets of 30.

Aim to get them all done in 1 or 1.5 days so you have time to review the entire set together, in different orders.

I have used this method for vocabulary in several languages, including French. I usually do 50 words a day, which takes 30-60 minutes. Doing 300 in two days will take a lot more effort, so make sure you set aside plenty of time.

Good luck!

What are some tips for improving one's French speaking skills?

The way you get better at any skill you're trying to improve: practice. Practice speaking, reading, writing, and listing to French every day or for as many days in a row that you can. You have the internet with infinite lessons and videos, you can join conversational meet up groups near you, you can read books and magazines online, on a reader or borrowed from the library or bought from a bookstore. But of all those activities, speaking is the most important. The more you speak to yourself and in your head and to others who can gently correct you, the quicker you will improve. The above advice goes for weather you are living in a Francophone country or not. If you are, you willl see results much faster than someone who does not. But with enough hard work, patience, and…practice, you can speak correct and fluent French.
