How Much Does It Cost To Fix A Cam Sensor On A 2001 Sebring

Problem with Fuel Sensor on Sebring?

The fuel level sending unit needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, it's part of the fuel pump assembly, located in the fuel tank. It's possible to just replace the sending unit, but they aren't usually sold separately because it costs as much labor to disassemble the fuel pump assembly to just replace the sending unit as it would to buy an entire new pump assembly.

Other than being a nuisance, a faulty sending unit can affect performance and fuel consumption. Most vehicles are programmed to run "rich" when fuel level is low to compensate for bubbles from fuel sloshing in the tank. Meaning, it uses more fuel than it would normally.

Why won't my car start after fixing a broken serpentine belt?

Ok so first question is the starter rotating the motor like it should and it just wont start or are you turning the key without getting any results. If its not turning over id first off hit the starter solenoid with a soft hammer a few good raps may dislodge a stuck solenoid. Now if the motor is spinning but not firing up my first place id look is the distributor wiring unless it runs coil packs then i would guess that you knocked the wires off the crank sensor or maybe even broke the crank sensor. I am at a disability here not knowing what the vehicle make is., if it died while driving because belt fell off and you ran on battery till it ran out of power. ( a jump start is the ticket in that case ) Honestly im going with the crank sensor or crankshaft position sensor.being the root of your problem because if the belt broke it could easily take out the sensor as belt flew around the front of the motor. But check all your connections and research the crank sensor ..its usually a cheap and easy part to replace if its in a area where belt passes by it that makes sense as to your problem. Ok let me know a bit more info if possible. Dont give up the answer will come

How much does it cost to replace a torque converter?

More, probably, than you think it should. The torque converter itself is relatively inexpensive, but the labor is extensive; either the engine or the transmission (or both) needs to be completely removed from the vehicle to get that job done. The job is far less expensive for a rear-wheel-drive vehicle than for front-wheel-drive or four-wheel drive because the transmission can relatively easily be removed far enough to replace the torque converter while the vehicle is on a split four-point lift or up on jack stands. There's also one hidden cost: If the torque converter gets replaced, then the entire transmission and its cooler should be thoroughly flushed and the filter replaced. As long as the transmission is out, it may well be worth doing to rebuild it at the same time; this saves on removal / reinstallation labor costs. If the torque converter has failed, the transmission itself is probably nearly due for a rebuild anyway.

How much does it cost to replace a crank pulley harmonizer?

The harmonic balancer can be replaced with a harmonic balancer puller. The puller should cost about $20 - $ 35 at a parts store. The harmonic balancer is at the big pulley at the bottom of the motor. I dont know what the part would cost but I would do a job like that for $60 labor plus part cost. Im in south carolina I dont know where you are but $400 sounds high wherever you are.

How long does it take to repair a head gasket?

You don’t repair a head gasket, you replace it.Once I had a rally car - a bit of a ratty old junker if the truth be told - that had a 2.3 litre overhead cam engine. It was a bit like this, only this one is way nicer:Anyway I was heading off to do a rally on some Friday night. On the Thursday, the day before, I took it out for a blast around the lanes to shake down any last-minute faults, and blew the head gasket. It was too late to do anything about it that night, so next morning, I got up at the crack of dawn, stripped the engine down to the point of having the head off (it was OHC, so that involved also removing the cambox, timing belts, etc. plus the exhaust manifold, inlet manifold and carburettors) By then it was almost 9am, so I drove to the nearest big town - 25 miles away - to get a replacement head gasket set. 25 miles back, and by 10am had the head all cleaned and ready to be reassembled. Engine back together and running by 12pm, I then had to drive it 250 miles to where the rally started. It all went smoothly and I made it with plenty of time to spare. So the answer to your question, for me, on that occasion, for this car, was about 6 hours, including an hour to fetch the parts. Sometimes what you need, apart from the basic skills, which in my case don’t amount to all that much, is a great big incentive! As I recall, the rally ended in disaster, but that’s another story.
