6w+2w=168
8w=168
w=168/8=21

So, its 63,21

x=(18*3)/2 = 27

23. 9300/124 = 75

24. x(1/4)=37.5
x=4*37.5 = 150

25. 52.5+12.75 = 65.25

26. 275+1500 = 1775

27. ((17,500)/100)*2.5 = 437.5

28. 6/1.79 = 8/x
x=(8*1.79)/6 = 2.39

29. 850/3 = 2700/x
x=(2700*3)/850 = 9.5

30. x*.04=750
x=750/.04=18750

I just cashed two $100 bonds and only got $137 for them. they are matured and everything. why is that?

Somebody made a mistake in the value calculations (used wrong bond issue dates, used wrong bond denominations, etc.

Series EE Savings Bonds purchased in 1991 had an "Original Term" of 12 years. 1991 + 12 = 2003

http://www.treasurydirect.gov/indiv/research/indepth/ebonds/res_e_bonds_eeratesandterms.htm
See chart on webpage.

For definition of Original Maturity go to webpage listed below:
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/indiv/research/res_glossary/glossary.htm#o

Using the Treasury Direct Savings Bond calculator here are the current values (as of 02/2009) of a $100.00 EE bond issued on dates I have included as examples:

A (each) $100.00 EE bond issued 01/1991 = $128.92
A (each) $100.00 EE bond issued 12/1991 = $123.92

To use the calculator to verify this for yourself go to:

http://www.treasurydirect.gov/BC/SBCPrice
To determine the exact value of your bonds enter the required information: Series, Denomination, Issue Date (month and year of purchase), then click on "Calculate".
Repeat the process for each bond you have.

Note: Savings Bonds continue to earn interest after the Original Term. This is called the "extended maturity period".
Series EE bonds reach "Final" maturity (stop earning interest) after 30 years from issue date.
An EE bond issued in 1991 would reach "Final" maturity in 2021.
