How Much Knowledge Is Too Much

Is too much knowledge..........?

Too much knowledge makes us tense as we know all the impending dangers, while having no fresh means of guarding ourselves from it. That is why being a little fool hardy is sometimes a very good thing as it gives us the perspective that we are loved by the entire universe, no matter who we are in life and that all life is out here to love and not hurt us.

Using knowledge to lead our life can be detrimental towards leading a happy and fulfilling life. Rather we should focus on our intuition, because that is where instant guidance comes to us from the non-local intelligence.

Depending too much on our knowledge would make us closed to new experiences in life as we wouldn't know what to do, as life always throws fresh incidences at us, so that we can learn to respond to life in new and better ways. Such creative responses can only happen if we stay centered in, who we are within.

Otherwise we might get stuck in the past or our knowledge of it, which might be present to us by our mind, the great processor as wisdom and lead to our downfall. While life is all the time offering us fresh perspective to it, it is always creating out of the box, no wonder the new always feels as chaotic, though that itself is the sign that the new is about to happen.

The best way to avoid this out would be to stay open to all kinds of experiences every moment, yet remain focused on your inner Self, because that is where the real guidance comes from, through intuition and not from mind which only presents old knowledge as wisdom.

Wisdom is always staying fresh to life as it is happening right now.

When is Knowledge enough? Can too much Knowledge make us crazy?

Our brains may be limited, but the thirst for knowledge is infinite.

Is too much knowledge a curse?

Our galaxy has billions of stars. In our universe,  there are billions of such galaxies. If you name each star in each galaxy and remember all those billion billions of names, you will still be using less than 5% of your brain's capacity to store knowledge. Too much of knowledge is not a curse as long your intentions are right. Keep gaining it :) About the knowledge of wars, battles etc., reading them makes you give a thought on why those things occurred. And you will know what not to do to start a war (or a fight maybe). So having more knowledge is a win-win situation. You'll either know what to do or what not to do. PS: don't let your intentions to be negative. :)

If too much power corrupts. what does too much knowledge does?

Well young Siddiqui

Moderation is the essence of life.. Don't let your power grow too much that it corrupts you, and don't let your knowledge falls too little or it will weaken you.

An ignorant is a failure to himself and others.. a tyrant is a failure to himself and to others.

Be moderate, you will succeed in the little time we have in the journey we call life.

@ Ankaboot- Regardless to your age, mentally you are still a child. You cannot learn and neither can you put your knowledge into practice. Disappointing. All you do is point at other people's shortcomings and failures, but what about yours?

I know I'm not knowledgeable.. but I'm not ashamed to admit my ignorance and require help from time to time. Perhaps you should do that as well.. and as you do that, keep my name out of your posts (Q n A).

Too much knowledge can make someone crazy?

I think this is the reason why im not fully happy.

Im asking me everyday: origen of universe, origen of life, why are we here, what's life's goal, what was before the bigbang, where's the missing link, is there life after death, is there life in other planets...

Is too much knowledge a dangerous thing?

Yes, I think that too much knowledge is sometimes a dangerous thing.Being knowledgeable is always a plus point in most of the aspects of life. But sometimes having no knowledge about things that is negative is peaceful. The world is filled with uncertainties and having knowledge has made us know about a lot of things and question about it too.Sometimes, the more we read and know about sadness and depression the sadder we become. So, is it too good to know everything or Is Ignorance a Bliss?

Can too much knowledge drive a person insane?

no, but the need to find answers will drive you *nuts*!

i am like that! *nuts* and driven to find things out! i can be sat there and some random word comes into my head... a word i have heard or read or something... but i can't "remember" what it means or the context... so then i have to "find out"! yesterday the word Gravlax came into my head and i then had to find out what it was!! then when you look in the dictionary you find even more words!! and words you didn't know existed!!

the quest to have knowledge is like a life long pledge! you mission!

see, now i bet you wonder what Gravlax is now don't you!! (its a way of curing salmon so you then don't cook it) http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/gravla...

What are some examples of how too much knowledge is dangerous?

Wrong premise. There can never be too much knowledge. Knowing more just makes you harder to win over for any idea, so politicians hate that. They like the masses dumb, thus easily manageable. What is dangerous is not having enough knowledge, and thinking one has, thus making wrong decisions based on insufficient information. This can be a problem when dealing with medically uneducated people who think they know it all from having trawled the internet with Google. This usually results in the classical panic reaction many anxious hypochondriac teens have like chest pain > heart attack (more likely “heart neurosis”, hyperventilation and such), headache > brain tumour. So tiring to deal with, first having to talk them out of their wrong convictions, after that telling them what we think it is and what to do about it.
