How Much Of This Meds Should I Give To My 7 Month Old Daughter

My 15 month old daughter has a cough and a runny nose what can i give her for iy besides tylenol cold and coug

Go to this site for exact dosage amounts, but what works for my 17 month old is something with an antihistamine like Robitussin Pediatric Night Relief. The site says for a 15 month old between 18-23 pounds give 1/2 a teaspoon every 6 hours. If you check out the sie they have all the meds that are okay to give 6 months and up and how much to give depending on the babies age and weight. You should always ask your doctor, but mine said antihistamines were okay at 6 months.

Also, if you can, use a vaporizer in her room at night it really helps!!! Good luck, hope she feels better soon!

What is the suitable drug for my two months old daughter that is coughing for like three days ago?

What is the suitable drug for my two months old daughter that is coughing for like three days ago?A cough that lasts for three days, in a two-month-old, may need to be diagnosed by a doctor. If you attempt to make the cough go away with over-the-counter medication, you will only be masking the symptoms of what could be a serious problem. Also, a two-month-old may react very differently to medication than a toddler or older child will. You need to get in touch with your pediatrician to get the correct medication and dosage info for your child.

Can i give my 2 month old baby medicine?

I wouldn't treat her at all if she isn't uncomfortable. Low fevers are okay, as long as it's below 101. If it's close to or she's uncomfortable then .4ml would be an appropriate dose.
Here's a chart, go by weight: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/T089101...

My 22 month old baby girl has had a temp ranging from 103.5 to 104.9 and the doctors are saying that...?

From what i have been told by several doctors when my children had high fevers control there fevers with nurofen and panadol alternatavely every 2 hours....Dont worry about the food but if it has gone too long with out fluid she will need to be take to hospital to go on a intravenous drip to administer fluids..That is only if no fluids at all are being taken....I was also told by several doctors that u dont need to stress about thier fever untill convulsions start......I know i really freaked out when told that by my doctor and doctors at the hospital....I still havent listened to them regarding that...
Sweety in the end you are her mother, u know when she is not well and no body else can tell you other wise..If you dont like what you hear go to another hospital untill something is done...Dont feel bad about anything if u end up at yet another hospital and u have to say ive seen 10 other doctors so be it...They cant refuse to look at her..
Good luck sweety....Hope ur goreous girl is better soon
Keep us updated wont u?

10 month old daughter sleeps A LOT with Ear Infection?

Is she on any kind of pain med or anything like that? This sounds real strange to me. I'm sure the fussiness has a lot to due with the ear infection as well as the not wanting to eat or drink, but usually babies CAN'T sleep with an ear infection because it hurts their ears and head when they lay down. I would be persistant with my doctor and tell him/her that if they can't find out what is wrong, then you will most certainly find someone who can.

My child is almost 21 and got very sick last summer/fall. She was losing a lot of weight, didn't feel good, had a lot of jaw pain and her face was real swollen. All they wanted to do was to put her on antibiotics for what COULD be an infection and give her anti inflammatory meds for the swelling. I pushed and pushed and finally demanded that someone run some tests on her. Yes, I know she's 21, but she's still MY baby. Anyway, I am so glad I was persistant because it ended up that she had thyroid cancer. Had I not been persistant, then no one would have done anything.

The bottom line is that YOU know your child better than anyone else. But even so, as a mom, I can tell you that something is going on and you are so right to be concerned. Your doctor should be just as concerned.

Please post an update and let everyone know what happens! I will pray for you.

Can I use my cousin's kids nebulizer and medicines on my daughter?

Albuterol administered in a nebulizer will NOT prevent bronchitis. It is also not designed to "loosen up the phelgm" as it doesn't affect the chest. Albuterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways and increases air flow to the lungs You should never use another person's medications for any reason. Different doses and strengths of medicine are used to treat different conditions. You need to stop giving your daughter breathing treatments since it will not help her and is giving her unnecessary medication. If you don't trust your doctor than get another opinion. Chest congestion for a week is not unusual since many respiratory illnesses take several weeks to clear up. Nebulizer treatments are not appropriate to use for an ordinary respiratory infection, which your daughter has as evidenced by no wheezing sounds. I suggest you return your cousin's nebulizer and Albuterol and listen to your doctor. That's what you pay him for, his training, experience, and knowledge. If you don't trust him find another doctor. Don't play games with your daughter' health.

Can you give a 61/2 month old baby benadryl. he weighs 20.5 lbs.?

Pick up phone book look up 24 hour pharmacy (assuming it is after normal hours), pick up phone, dial number, ask to speak to pharmacist. That is what they are there for and are specially trained to do. They are more knowledgeable about drug side effects and dosages than most doctors.

Problem solved without asking morons on the Internet and without googling reputable sources.

I do give my one year old baby paracetamol, three time daily is it an overdose?

Could be. Excess paracetamol is toxic to the liver and this can kill. Babies are easily overdosed, and should never be given medicine designed for adults. It sounds like you've been guessing rather than following medical advice. There are some excellent medicines available which are specifically designed for children. These include some containing paracetamol. Calpol, for example is a well known brand in the UK. Paediatric medicines come with proper dosing instructions.Speak to your pharmacist for advice, and if your child’s health worries you, see a doctor. If there is a possibility you have given an overdose already, take your child to hospital. They may need urgent, potentially lifesaving treatment, even if they appear well just now. The effects of a paracetamol overdose are not always immediately apparent.Don't risk you baby's health on this. Consult an expert.DISCLAIMERI am not a doctor, this is not a substitute for medical advice. If your child is sick, seek help from a qualified expert.

What a safe constipation remedy for a 5 month old?

I have been there: 1. First always talk to the pediatrician and try to figure out what is causing the constipation. It could be your baby is sick with an infection or cold and that needs treatment. It could be formula milk, the baby food, or breastmilk if you are taking pain medication (or other medication) or not eating right yourself. (No judgment made - it's hard being a mommy and finding the time to eating well and on time!) 2. If you are breast feeding then make changes in your diet to help the baby's constipation; such as reduce carbs and diary, avoid banana and eat more dark, leafy greens, and veggies, and drink lots of water. 3. If you are giving formula milk check you are mixing the right, recommended amount. You could also try changing and trying a different one and see if it helps. Also give more water in between formula. .4. If it is the formula milk that is the problem then start giving more baby food to your baby and reducing the milk. Check with the pediatrician if this is ok or for an alternative formula milk. 5. Don't give your baby mushed banana or potato or those packaged baby purée foods. Look at what baby foods you are feeding your baby and what is in it. There is nothing better then homemade, natural baby food. Increase fiber and decrease carbs.6. Buy a baby food maker or use a good blender (or smoothie maker like magic bullet/nutri bullet you have at home) to make homemade baby food. Add prunes, prune juice, or pear in the food you make.  Pureed or chopped apples, apricots, blueberries, grapes, raspberries and strawberries are also good and all high in fibre. And give veggies - peas, kale and spinach, carrots, beetroot etc. Avoud crackers and baby foods like that 7. Give your baby more water. 8. Give your baby body massages to help with blood circulation and stretching. In particular, gently move baby's legs in a circular motion like when you bicycle. 9. Buy an age appropriate playmat/play station - this will encourage the baby to move more, and kick and punch and get some exercise! 10. 15 minutes of tummy time twice a day and fresh air! An active baby is more like to have better bowel movements! Good luck and best of health to your little one!
