How Much Should My 6 Month Old Siberian Husky Weigh

How much should my 8 month Siberian Husky weigh?

My husky was born in late January and I'm beginning to question whether or not he will grow to full size (60 lbs-ish?). He is just over 8 months now, and he weighs just 45 lbs. When I look at pictures of other 8 month old huskies, they appear to be noticably bigger - maybe 50-55 lbs. I know there are ways to gauge at birth whether a husky will be smaller than normal, but my AKC breeder told me that mine did not fall in that category. I'm just curious at what age should I expect him to reach his peak size (height & weight).

How much should a 6 month old Siberian husky weigh?

Your pup is not adult yet and has some way to go until he is.
He is not fully mature physically (or mentally) and his weight should increase until he over a year old and when he finishes filling out to complete adulthood at around 20 months old.

How much should my 6 month old Siberian Husky weigh?

My Siberian Husky he's male and is going to turn 7 months the 21st of may and he weighs about 52 pounds, so I was just wondering if that's a healthy weight for him or not.

My 6 month old Siberian Husky weighs 44lbs, how big will he get?

Is it a male of female?
I have five Huskies (2 males, 3 females) ranging in age from 9 months to 3 years. The two eldest are sisters. One was the runt of the litter but she had beautiful markings. She only weighs 45 lbs. her sister weighs 60 lbs.
The next is a Male he weighs 75 lbs. My other male weighs 50 lbs. but he is only a year old and the youngest (the 9 month old female) weighs 55 lbs.
A 6 month old Male at 44 lbs. could reach 65 - 80 lbs. by the time they hit two years. He should get close to whatever his Father weighs. Females are iffy. If yours is a Female she might gain another 10 - 15 lbs.
Whatever they weigh, they are wonderful dogs, a bit mischievous but lovable and less trouble after they hit two.
My males are both laid back and easy going. The females gave me a lot more trouble.
Little known fact...If you have a Copper or Red Husky, especially a female, they are downright destructive devils.
Good luck. I wish I could help more but the standard size (according to the breeders I've talked to) for a male is 65 - 75 lbs. and a female is 55 - 65 lbs. but there are exceptions to every rule.

How much should my Siberian Husky weigh at 11 weeks old?

he's pretty light, normal range is usually around 20-25 ish (more or less) for a husky that age...
Are you sure he's not mixed with any other dog? If he looks to skinny (you can see ribs very easily) you should probably up the food intake a bit, not too much (you don't want an overweight dog), feed him how much you think is enough. If your concerned, call the vet, every dog develops differently, but the vet knows best.

ETA: if the breeder wasn't reputable, it is possible that he lied about the age. (dogs should not leave their mother before 8 weeks)

Is 35 lbs (16 kg) a healthy weight for a 10 month old Siberian Husky?

My husky girl is not a fussy eater and eats high quality puppy food twice a day and any snack that doesn’t run faster than she runs. She weighs 35 pounds and has a clean bill of health from the vet.Huskies are built heavy in the front and thin waisted. They look skinny from above. I have had two huskies and they were built the same way.I suspect you pup is fine. Trust your vet and feed her high quality food twice a day. She is a puppy after-all.

How big should my 7 month old female Siberian husky be?

I wouldn't worry about her size just yet. A mature female can weigh as little as 35lbs and stand just 20" at the withers. Depending on the lines in your girl she may be slower at developing. Racing lines tend to hit their full height by 7 - 8 months of age and go through some pretty gangily phases. You will have a tall dog but thin. Show lines tend to grow a little slower and more evenly. This allows the puppy to be shown through out its growing phase and it never "falls apart".

As for when she should go into her first heat. It has been my experience that the first heat cycle comes between the 7 - 9 month range and every 6 months there after.

How should I care for 6-week-old Siberian Husky?

the breeder should be doing this — pups need to stay with the Mom dog for at least 8 weeks. At this point, just feed whatever food the pet is used to, supply with fresh water all the time, take it out often to urinate and defecate. Too early to effectively housetrain, but if you take the pet to the same spot every time it will start to catch on.Should be at the vet, I assume it had its first exam and initial shots. Again, a full week should pass between the first puppy shots and the pup leaving Mom. If not, get to the vet, have checked for worms and other issues. And, ask your vet about proper care. Also, introduce a crate for sleeping, and as a safe spot. Also useful when time to really house train.
