How Much Time Alprazolam .5 Mg Works To Sleep.if I Want To Sleep For 5 Hours Haw Many Tablets

How much tablet of alprazolam can make a person sleep of 7 to 8 hours?

The correct answer would be to discuss it with your doctor and take how much you're prescribed, since it's a potentially dangerous prescription-only medication.Failing that, however, usually the starting dose is 0.25mg.I would agree with Anon to use sparingly, but I would caution you to never mix with alcohol. However, if you're taking sleeping aids for the first time, there are much better places to start.  Unisom is commonly used - it works well, is over the counter, and generally doesn't leave you with a hangover like some (e.g. Benadryl) can.

What will happen if I take alprazolam 0.25 mg 10 tablets at a time?

The last 2 years i have had some issues with benzo addiction, mostly alprazolam(xanax). It affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with anxiety and panic disorders.Taking 10 tablets will make a total of 2.5 mg which is nearly half of the daily dose for an adult. It possesses anxiolytic, sedative, hypnotic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant and antidepressant properties. The fast-acting sedative properties of Xanax also make this drug highly attractive to recreational drug users — many of whom find themselves addicted.Recreational users often are unaware of how much of the drug they’re taking. Because Xanax acts fast and clears the system quickly, users keep taking alprazolam to prolong their high. Taking higher doses only hastens the brain’s adjustment to the chemical changes caused by Xanax, meaning that you’ll need more of the drug to achieve the same state of sedation.Possible side effects includeExtreme fatigueWeaknessConfusionDizzinessNauseaHallucinationsImpaired coordinationSlurred speech

How many hours of sleep do we need if we take Alprazolam 0.5 mg?

First of all, the drug that you are using is a very low dose.Generally the recommended amount of sleep for average human being is 8 hrs, but this varies from person to person and depends more on our biological clock.Coming to your question as I have mentioned you are using a very low dose so no extra sleep is required .As a side note, one of the side effects of Alprazolam is drowsiness so you might find your self falling asleep earlier than expected.

How long will alprazolam (xanax) take to work?

Xanax is basically the fastest acting oral benzodiazepine, the class of drugs it belongs to. If you have never taken Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin/Rivotril, or sleeping pills like Ambien then you certainly will not have a high tolerance. Another good indicator is your alcohol use. If you do not drink or don't drink often (especially if you have a low tolerance to alcohol) you have a good chance of being "hit" hard by the Xanax. Some people get very sleepy and have a hard time during the airport experience. You could also have a fairly minor reaction.

I would advice you take one 20-30 min before the flight, ideally when you are at the gate. Normally it starts to work in 20 min. Xanax lasts for 3-4hrs so I would see how thing are before you take another one. It is very likely that taking one right before the plane takes off will last the entire time. How many were you given?

I also would try to avoid sleeping, if the Xanax is in your system you will probably wake and feel VERY groggy and lethargic. You could also take half a pill (0.25 mg) 1 hr before the flight and see how you are. Normally people taking sleeping medications for long flights, not a three hour flight.

It is all up to you. Just keep in mind that Xanax often takes people off guard because it is a potent drug and it really sedates some people. Just make sure to take it more than 30 min or so before the plane boards.

How much time will I sleep if I take 1 pill of Alprax 0.25?

I had to look this drug up because I know it by another name. It is Xanax. If you are an older adult (70 or above), you may sleep longer than 8 hours because you body doesn’t metabolize drugs as fast as it did when you were 35. If you are a teenager, the same thing is true. You body isn’t fully developed and it takes longer to metabolize drugs. You will sleep beyond 8 hours. But, the average adult will probably sleep 6–8 hours. I once knew of a patient that the nurse didn’t take age into consideration and gave a 80 year old man 1 mg of Ativan. 36 hours later he was still asleep and they wanted to do brain scans on him to be sure nothing else was really wrong. To be sure something like this doesn’t happen to you, always start at the most minimum dose, especially, if you have never taken it before and you are very young or very old.

Addicted to 0.25 MG alprazolam (xanax)?

What I'll say is based on my own experience, because I've been taking Alprazolam for 18 months now.

I started off taking 3 pills a day: 0,50mg in the morning, 0,50mg after lunch and 1mg at night (in order to sleep). After 2 months of taking them, I quit taking the afternoon pill and kept the morning one but the night pill increased to 2mg. I used to sleep like a baby after that...

6 months later alprazolam wasn't enough to make me sleep anymore, because I was taking two 2mg pills to get to sleep. So basically, it no longer works for me. The doctor lowed down the night pill to 2mg again and gave another med (flunitrazepam) and Stilnox and also cut my morning alprazolam pill.

So now I take bupropiona in the morning (Welbutrin 300mg) and at night 2mg alprazolan, 10mg stilnox and 1mg flunitrazepam.

So... what I mean is: you won't get actually addicted to alprazolam... you'll probably start to take higher doses and when it doesn't work anymore, you'll have to add another medication.
My advice is: try to get rid of those psychotropics medication, ask you psychiatrist a light anxiety medication and some sport/activity recommendation.

How many hours a person can sleep after taking high dosage sleeping pills?

Most sleeping pills are classified as "sedative hypnotics." That's a specific class of drugs used to induce and/or maintain sleep. Sedative hypnotics include benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and various hypnotics.Benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Valium, Ativan, and Librium are anti-anxiety medications. They also increase drowsiness and help people sleep. Halcion is an older benzodiazepine sedative-hypnotic medicine that has largely been replaced by newer medicines. While these drugs may be useful short-term, all benzodiazepines are potentially addictive and can cause problems with memory and attention. They are usually not recommended for long-term treatment of sleeping problems.Barbiturates, another drug in this sedative-hypnotic class, depress the central nervous system and can cause sedation. Short- or long-acting barbiturates are prescribed as sedatives or sleeping pills. But more commonly, these hypnotic drugs are limited to use as anesthesia. They can be fatal in overdose.Newer medications help reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. Some of these sleep-inducing drugs, which bind to the same receptors in the brain as do benzodiazepines, include Lunesta, Sonata, and Ambien. They are somewhat less likely than benzodiazepines to be habit-forming, but over time can still sometimes cause physical dependence. They can work quickly to increase drowsiness and sleep. Another sleep aid, called Rozerem, acts differently from other sleep medicines by affecting a brain hormone called melatonin, and is not habit-forming. Belsomra is another unique sleep aid that affects a brain chemical called orexin, and is not addictive or habit-forming.
