How much would it cost to stay in Miami for a week?
It depends where you're talking in Miami. If you're meaning South Beach, the most popular and trendy area (with the famous clubs, etc.) you are likely talking on average between at least $150.00-$200.00 a night for a room, and this is in just a basic hotel. It can be much more expensive. Food and drinks in this area are, as well, very expensive. The tip is automatically added on to every bill in every bar and restaurant, no matter what you order or the size of your group. When I ordered a rye (whiskey) and coke - a single shot - at any bar in SoBe with tip and tax included it came out to almost $15.00 - not a lie. South Beach is a rip-off in that regard. If you are talking about the city or suburbs of Miami, or even some of the beaches north of Miami Beach, you will likely find much more reasonable prices and your chain/discount hotels. South Beach is interesting to see but very expensive to stay in. Probably a day there is enough if you are trying to watch your money and not go crazy with expenses.
How much will a week long trip to Los Angeles cost?
You need to look at what you want to do - are you planning to stay in one place, and then travel about to see the sites? Or change hotels? Disneyland - stay in Anaheim area. Much easier. Beach? Laguna Beach has a wonderful art fair during the summer that will give your mom a break. Stay there if possible as it's a great walking town. A lot of the fun of traveling is eating. If you can stay at a hotel that has a breakfast option, that would be good. The distance from SLC to LA X 2 divide by MPG will give you a base for gasoline. Figure Las Vegas for mid-point stopover. You have lots of looking up to do and time to do it in. Just earn as much as possible. And keep posting in Y!A when you have more information.

I've lived in Bangkok for eight years now. One can spend very little money here or a lot. Many Thais make only about 5000 baht or US$140 a month and some make even less. If you want to live as they do, it could be very cheap. That means you never eat in a restaurant, but from street vendors and you stay in a room without air-conditioning or a private bathroom. Eating food from street vendors is usually risky for foreigners--the standard of cleanliness is not what you'd find in western countries. The main problem has to do with the way they wash dishes and not in the food itself especially if the food is cooked in front of you. Bangkok and Phuket are the most expensive places in Thailand, but it's possible to find bargains even in these locations. I went to a nice restaurant for lunch today here in Bangkok and the total bill was 520 baht (US$14.50 including tip) for two people and that included two glasses of beer for each of us. As you might expect, Thai food is cheaper than any other kind. Most tourist locations (except for Pattaya) and all places in Phuket near the beach are relatively expensive. The southern islands and Krabi are moderately expensive. The rest of the country is much cheaper with the north and northeast Thailand being the cheapest. If you don't care about tourist locations, you can save a lot of money. Krabi which is not a hot tourist spot is cheaper than Phuket even though they're not that far apart. Bang Saen, which is a beach resort area mostly for Thais, the prices are half or less than what one would pay in a popular tourist spot. I love to go there not just because of the low prices, but because the seafood restaurants are among the best in Thailand. Bang Saen is located between Bangkok and Pattaya. Air Asia has the lowest airfares between Bangkok and Krabi. For the lowest fare, one must purchase an e-ticket online at http://www.airasia.com. You need to select "Malaysia" when entering the site to get English. Currently, I've found fares between the two locations as low as 750 baht (US$21) each way plus tax. To get the lowest fares, one must book early. Air Asia is a no-frills airline and luggage restrictions are significant. It's possible to spend less than 1,000 baht (US$27.75) a day for food and still feel that you're not sacrificing anything. Of course, you can spend even less, but in that case, you'd be watching every baht you spend.
Average cost for week long vacation to Panama City Beach FL?
So my mom, me, my best friend, and my 2 sisters are planning on going on a vacation in mid June. We want to go to Panama City Beach, and stay for a week. What is the average cost for a week in Panama City, in a hotel that's on Front Beach Rd? We aren't doing anything else but just relaxing on the beach, and we will be walking as much as we can,so we would only need money for food and the hotel. Thanks :)
