Please dont go by price! Although I have been there so piggys are around $20, I know they are expensive! I would recomend going to a local humane society because they are not as much there and usually very good pets.. they are already friendly and socialized! When buying a cage buy one that is bigger when it comes to floor space (they dont really climb). You should do some research and find out different kinds of cages that work best and the min. sizes. Hamsters are good pets, but they are not as friendly and I just have a soft spot for my piggys, although i have owned both and had some amaaazing pets! Hamsters are far cheaper depending on breed. They are usually under $10.
