How Much Will Two Small Chest Tattoos Hurt

Do chest tattoos hurt?

I agree with Daniel Super. All tattoos hurt, period, end of story.But...It might be a little exagerated. Some people are so affraid of that pain that they never even go get that tattoo they've always wanted. That's how bad tattoos "look like they hurt". For some people it hurts much more than what it seems to hurt, and for others it is the other way around. I believe I'm somewhere in the middle.I have a tattoo in my left ribcage, it hurted like hell, I almost fainted. I had it retouched a couple of years later - didn't hurt as much. Last year, I made a complete makeover of it. Pratically a new tattoo on top of the old one. Did it hurt? Yes, it did, a lot! But by no means it resembled that first experience. Not by a million miles. So, there are a lot things to consider here. Is this your first tattoo? Do you already have tattoos in really painful-to-get-tattoos-places like the lower part of you biceps, ribcage, feet, etc?Just a bit of curiosity very related here: do you know how do first-responders find out if a person is unconscious or sleeping? They rub their knuckles really hard against the externum, because it is so sensitive that the intense pain will wake anyone immediately. Try it on yourself. So, hmmm, yeah, it might hurt more than "just a little" as most people with a needle will tell you! :PEDIT:Just saw this on Mashable (The 10 most painful places to get a tattoo).

Which hurts more rib or chest tattoos??

Most of our clients find rib tattooing more painful. There is more to location for how well you handle tattoo pain. For instance, if you are tired as compared to getting a good night's sleep the night before, it will be more painful. If you can schedule it earlier in the day, you will do better, too.

Be sure always to have a medium sized good meal one to two hours before like a turkey sandwich with cheese on whole wheat bread. Don't drink alcohol or having anything to drink the night before - be sure you are well hydrated.

How bad does a chest tattoo hurt.?

Okay, I'm a guy .. not a girl .. I don't have breats and fatty tissue on my chest area to dull the pain down for a chest tattoo.

I have one going down my spine, going from shoulder blade to shoulder blade, and also one going down my rib cage. I want to get a chest tattoo like Justin Timberlake had in the movie Alpha Dog and I was wondering which is the worst place and the level of pain for the chest tattoo compared to where I already have them?

Girls! How much do chest tattoos hurt?

Hi there!
I would love to have some girls who have chest tattoos help me out!
Okay, I know the basics, chest tattoos hurt, tattoos hurt in general, and they are permanent.
I know all that! :)
But my question is, how bad do they hurt?
I am 19, 5'6", and about 124lbs. My pain tolerance is alright I think, I always give blood and never wince when they stick the horse needle up my arm hahaha
I want twin birds on my chest, not too big, probably medium sized. So the two birds would be facing each other on my chest.
I've never had a tattoo, and I know you're supposed to get a small one first to try, but the thing is I just want the birds. I don't want to have one that I don't want, so my first tattoo will have to be the birds.
Can anyone kind of tell me what a chest tattoo feels like, and try to describe the pain?
I don't need answers saying how tattoos are bad, and I can't get a job, because I almost never show my chest. All my shirts are either crewneck, or high enough.
Thanks!

Does it hurt to get a tattoo on your neck?

Ok. Tattoos hurt but not as much as people are making them out to. The back of the neck is actually an easier spot to get tattooed. If you have a good artist, you should be able to sit for 3-4 hours before the pain really starts kicking in. I am a tattoo artist, have 58 tattoos and have done 54 of them on myself. The worst place to get a tattoo is the chest or ribs. By far! The best tattoo artists make it so you do t even feel anything but a brush on the skin. There are sloppy, heavy-handed artists that we call butchers in the industry. They want the money to get you in amd out of the chair as fast as possible to get the next customer in. The key is to find a great artist that uses great machines and has a great personality to help keep your mind off of it when it does start to hurt. If you are talking about the back of the neck, the liece wont be very big and will probably take about an hour or 2 depending on the design. Women have a much higher pain tolerance for tattoos then men do so it should be a breeze. Be out of the chair before the pain starts. Ive seen a person gettin butchered last for 20 minutes on their shoulder and ive seen the same person sit for a quality artist for 9 hours on their chest with ease. Not all artists are equal. Some just have a very light and steady hand and let the ink sit right where its supposed to with no bleeding while packing in color. Others have that heavy hand and just abuse skin. Alot of people say tattoos are so painful so they look tough being able to sit through it. You have no worries til you hit that 3 hour mark. Then it gets to be dependent on the artist and pain tolerance.

How sore is a tattoo on your chest?

To be honest I was surprised that it didn’t hurt much at all to get it or afterwards. Now obviously pain is subjective, but I had read a lot of people who basically talked about how getting a tattoo on your chest felt like having your heart cut out of your body. They made it sound so much worse than a tattoo on any other part of your body. I had already gotten tattoos on my arms and hips and they made it sound so much more painful than those. It really wasn’t. In fact I hardly felt anything at all and I’m quite bony in that area and it went all over my collarbones and down in between my breasts.I actually found it hurt quite a bit less than the tattoo on my bicep. But again, pain is subjective. Your mileage will likely vary.

How much will a vertical/spinal tattoo hurt?

Both very good answers. I agree with the expected pain over the hip and soft areas. Also bony spots do vibrate, I actually don't mind it. It's kind of a welcome change to the meaty areas of my body. Except my sternum, that was horrible but my whole chest was a nightmare to be honest. I would estimate, because I do not have any work over my spine, that spine would be better than some other areas of the back. But the best answer already listed is that the length of the session is a good way to determine, as the longer it goes your reserves will decrease and even the easiest area will become more painful. When I was younger I got a lot of large tattoos, my thoughts were the bigger the better. Two Half leg sleeves, full stomach script. Now that I am older, 40…i wish I had more skin to get tattoos and I like to ones no bigger than my palm if possible. I have a full sleeve on one arm that was built to be all connected. But my other arm I am progressing with has smaller tattoos whatever they fit well on my arm. I will eventually get some ‘gap filler’ tattoos. Look up the hash tag on Instagram. There are some fun filler tattoos that can be small. As long as the tattoo doesn't suffer then I like to get it small and leave more room for another tattoo. It's all a matter of preference.

Does getting a tattoo really hurt?

IS IT PAINFUL?HOW SHOULD I AVOID IT?Getting a tattoo will never be a walk in the park, but it can be less painful if you take a few simple precautions. To complete this How-To you will need:A licensed tattoo artistA morning appointmentLoose clothingA full stomachA non-aspirin pain relieverDeep breathsScrupulous aftercareA topical anestheticStep 1: Go to a licensed tattoo artist who sterilizes their equipment and uses disposable needles and gloves. The discomfort of getting tattooed is nothing compared to the pain of getting an infection from it.Step 2: Schedule your tattoo for the morning. This is when your pain tolerance is highest, thanks to peak levels of adrenaline, a hormone that helps us endure pain.Step 3: Wear loose clothes, especially if they are going to be covering your new tattoo.Step 4: Eat something before you go to reduce the chances of passing out from a combination of nerves and hunger.Step 5: Take a non-aspirin pain reliever like ibuprofen about 20 minutes before the procedure.Tip: Don't drink alcohol or take aspirin in the 24 hours beforehand; it will thin your blood, increasing bleeding.Step 6: Choose an area of your body that has more flesh and less bone and nerve endings, like biceps, calves, and thighs, rather than bony areas or nerve centers like the rib cage, top of foot, and abdomen.Step 7: Know what to expect. The pain is often described as a cat scratching your sunburned skin. Breathe deeply, focus on your breath, and try not to move. The post-tattoo pain will feel the same, minus the cat.Step 8: During the procedure, if the pain is intense, your tattoo artist can apply a topical anesthetic. Think carefully before you ask for one; side effects include a longer healing time and a loss of color in the finished product.Warning: Applying excess amounts of a high-concentration topical anesthetic and covering up the tattoo afterward can result in seizures.Step 9: Follow the tattoo artist's instructions regarding aftercare. The tattoo should heal in about three weeks, during which time you shouldn't swim or expose it to the sun. After that, go ahead and flaunt it!You can read up more on tattoos at Astron Tattoos by Pradeep

Why do people get tattoos of 2 birds on their collar bone/chest?

The sparrows always return to the same location when the migrate. In addition, once they find a mate they always keep them. As a maritime/sailing tradition it symbolizes that no matter how far a sailor travels, they will return home and be faithful.
