How Old Do You Have To Be To Contact A Us Navy Recruiter

Should i talk to a Navy recruiter now (i'm 15)?

I was not in the Navy, but I was in the Air Force. I would recommend perhaps going to Officer Training and not as an enlisted. If I were to go back in time I would have gone to officer training school for the Air Force and not gone in as an enlisted Airman. The ASVAB test is very easy and you don't really need to study, its very easy. But here is a link: http://www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab/ I enjoyed the military and I think it's a great experience, but its not always a place to speak your mind or present ideas. It's a more do as your told and this is how we have always done it. I had an amazing job in the Air Force, I had a top secret clearance and worked in a place that most will never see. I got to travel to different locations and now I live in Ireland (not very exotic) but much nicer than Texas.
I wish you the best of luck in your adventure.

When should I talk to a navy recruiter?

Hey! Congrats on your decision to serve :-)

If you're a junior you can drop by the office and talk to them but they really cannot do anything until you're considered a senior at your school (Once all the seniors graduate you can seriously start talking to them).

You have to be 17 with parental consent (from both parents or whichever parent has full legal custody) in order to enlist in the DEP (Delayed Entry Program). Or 18 to enlist without parental consent.

Giving the recruiters a call never hurts and lets them know you're interested.

How old do you have to be to talk to a recruiter?

You can talk whenever you want, they would be more than happy to help. You can't inlist until you're 17 in the US, am I correct? So before you are 17, you could print off the forms, and get the info, but you can't officially sign up until you're 17.

How do I address my Navy recruiter?

Cuz he's all like "Duuuuuuuude!"
and I'm all like, "Broooooooo!"

Well maybe I exagerate a little but still..
I am a Future Sailor now so I should be addressing him with proper rank right? As should anyone.

How do I address my Navy recruiter?

Since I'm not yet in the Navy, do I simply say "sir"? Or should I call him "Petty Officer ______"?

What about in an email? Or on the phone? Is there a difference?

How long after meeting a Navy recruiter until you go to MEPS?

That depends entirely on you. If you're trying to expedite the process, you could theoretically go from the office to MEPS in about three days. When you factor in issues like needing medical or legal records, you'll add time on to that. Your recruiter must make sure that you at least appear to be qualified for service (meaning that they have all of the records needed for MEPS to make the final determination and that they've covered the mandatory requirements for enlistment.) For every few items that you answered YES to on the medical prescreen, add another 24 hours. That time is for MEPS to reference their instructions to ensure that nothing is disqualifying on it's own, like being HIV+, in an extreme example. If you already had a qualifying ASVAB and had no legal or medical issues, you could probably go from the office to swearing into the Navy in about 4 days.
