In US, is it possible for a journalist not to stop when stopped by Police?

Journalists do not have any special power or authority in the US.  They are bound by the same rules and regulations as all other citizens. If police had a valid blockade on a sidewalk or street, a reporter should not expect to be able to just walk through.  I'm thinking of situations where a particular building or block of buildings is being sealed off for security reasons, such as a visit from a foreign dignitary or a meeting of world leaders.  In a situation like that, it is possible that a whole block would be cordoned off and no one allowed to enter without special credentials.  Journalists would have to abide by the same rules as anyone else.If journalists want access to closed areas, they would probably have to make arrangements ahead of time.  Just arriving and saying, "I'm Bob Smith from XYZ News" probably wouldn't suffice.Otherwise, journalists can come and go like any other person.
