How Should I Get My Hair Cut For A Side Part I

How do I do a side part haircut? (guys)?

Hey so im currently going to paul mitchell the school and i am done in a few short months. So from a stylists point of view bring in a picture. Whether you go to a salon or a barber. Do your research google it! he could give you a hard part which means he goes in with his clippers and puts in a part for you so your hair automatically go that way but thats kind of cheating in a way! haha. The picture i put below is something i found on google. A great product that i love to use on a hair cut like this is paul mitchells Mitch barbers classic pomade its a moderate hold with high shine so its a workable yet nice firm hold. So pomades are probably your best bet. You could use the phrase tapered or a fade. But in all honesty find a picture of what you want that way you both have a good understanding of what you are looking for.

How to side part my hair and make it stay?

Part it where you want, then put some hairspray on the part, and for the first week or two you can pin th hair back so it doesn't go back to the middle part. And then after a week or two you won't need the hair spray or to pin it back! Good luck

How do I get a permanent side part in my hair?

Wash your hair, then brush it to the side how you want the parting, then put a couple of hair pins in it, then blow dry it on hot. you may have to do it every time after you wash it, but eventually it stays that way :]

Can I do a side part hair cut even if I have puffy hair? Will it look good?

I'm 21 have a fauxhawk with a taper currently get it shortish on top and short on sides but wanna try a side part but ig I let my sides grow they get puffy will it still look good or what should I do help?

What haircut should I get?

No one can choose your hair style for you. You must decide what you want. Others can help you, but you must ultimately decide. After all, you'll be the one wearing it every moment of every day. It's yours -- own it.So here are 3 tips for finding your hairstyle:1. Look around. Who has a hairstyle you like or admire? Hairstyles are a big part of your look and your first impression, so think about what your impressions are of other people based on their hairstyles. The hairstyle of a person who seems to make the kind of impression you would like to make might be a good starting point. It doesn't matter how much you like a hairstyle: if it doesn't make the impression you want, it's not for you.2. Decide whether a hairstyle is practical for you and your lifestyle. I used to cut the sides of my head short and keep it long on top, but I had to cut it (painstakingly) every two weeks, and I just didn't have that kind of weekend time to spend. It doesn't matter how much you like a hairstyle: if you can't maintain it, you can't have it.3. Determine how much you want to spend. Think about money and time. Hairstyles are the result of periods of growing, mostly, with intervals of cutting in certain strategic places. The strategy of cutting will either cost you money to pay someone else, or time to figure it out on your own. It doesn't matter how much you want a hairstyle: if you can't spend the time or money to get it, you'll never get it.Picking a hairstyle and figuring out how to get it is a fun process. So make sure, most of all, to enjoy it! :)

How do I get a straight side parting?

I promise I'm not being flip, but have you tried using a comb? It's literally a tool for the manipulation of hair in a uniform fashion. Take the teeth perpendicular to your head and drag the comb one direction through your hair. Then place the teeth at the same place you started and go the other way. If you're specifically trying to get the Mad Men version, comb it all straight back before you comb it to the sides.

How do I get rid of my SIDE PARTING?

You will have to "train" your hair to go back like that. You can apply product to your hair and comb it backwards while you blow dry it. Then take a fine toothed comb and spray a small amount of hair spray on it, then comb your hair back. This will apply a very small amount of hair spray to your hair without it being too noticeable or making it stiff. If it doesn't stay like that, you may need to pull your hair back in a pony tail or half up for a week or so. If you just have patience with it, it will happen.

Would it be weird to go get a haircut only to cut the sides?

Yes and no. Yes it’s weird to pay for a full haircut only to have the sides cut but rarely does this happen. You probably need more such as blending &/or clean up throughout. As a stylist, I would cut just the sides complimentary for a regular client of mine but that’s because I have loyal clients that know I’m worth ever penny. I suggest you get a consultation that way you won’t waste time and money. If you have a regular stylist you see, you may be able to have a phone consultation to clarify your needs and at that point you can book the appropriate service.

Annoying part in hair?

So I would really like my hair to part to the side. It used to always part to the side, but the last time i got my haircut, I was with a new stylist and apparently she thought my hair would look cute with a middle part, which i didn't like! So now every time i straighten or do anything to my hair to make it be a side part, by the end of the day it manages to go back to a middle part. Is there anyway i can get it to go back to a side part. I would apperciate it if I didn't have to get my hair cut again, because I'm growing my hair out. HELP!

My barber messed my hair up and they are too short from the sides. I have to go school tommorow, what should I do?

Make the top really short like just 2–3 inches long. And go to school side parting the hair really low and small.Try it, i did once my barber gave me a 1 guard closed trim in the sides. The normal side part which we used to in childhood is back in fashion so it will not look bad and the short sides and short top with side part will go well together
