How Tall In Ft And Inches Is That Man On The Right If His Daughter In The Middle Is 6ft Tall -

If the dad is tall, and the mom is short, then what will be the height of their first son?

This isn’t scientific, however, I have heard a theory. It does work out quite oftenIt comes from the mothers side. If the mother is taller than average, then the son will be the same amount taller than average than the father. If the mother is shorter than average, then the son will be the same amount shorter than his father. So … my partner is about 4 inches taller than average, and our three sons all ended up the same amount taller than me - they are six foot 5.I saw an example below where a mum was about 3 inches shorter than average, and the son was about the same shorter than his dad.Of course, I’ve seen lots of cases where this isn’t true either. Generally, if you measure the height at 2 years, and double it, you get the adult height.

If a tall person (6' 5'') marries a short person (5'), will their children be the average of the two heights?

Nope. They will likely either be on the tall end or the short end of the scale. My dad was 6'5 and my mom was 5′1. I am 5'2.75.*this is how I remember it being explained to me. Any mistakes are my own and not the fault of my biology professor*It's based more on which ever genes there are more of in cases of height (not always, most of the time it's which genes are dominant ex: I believe brown eyes are dominant over blue. My dad had brown eyes and mom had green (mutation of blue) But I have green eyes because my dad's mother had blue eyes so his recessive blue eyed trait combined with my mom's green eyed trait created a baby with green eyes because there was that trait coming from both parents).6′5 Dad= tall 6'3 (paternal) + short 5'2 (maternal)5'1 Mom= short (unknown paternal) + short ? (unknown maternal) [my mom was adopted]Because my mom was short, it is assumed that at least one of her parents were also short. Going with the the assumption of only one parent was short, that means that her children from my dad would have a 2/out of 4 chance of being short and a 2/4 chance of being tall.Well, my mom had 3 kids by 2 men who both had short mothers and tall fathers (they also had the same first name and same coloring but let's not go any farther down that rabbit hole). And all three of her girls are short (5′0–5′3)So that means that likely, both of her parents were short. Each of us had a 1/4 chance of being short if one of her parents was tall, and a 3/4 chance of being short if both parents were short. Therefore it's more likely both parents were short. But maybe not- read further:My kids inherited a short gene and a tall gene from me and 2 tall genes from their dad. That means they have a 1/4 chance of being short and 3/4 chance of being tall. Would you like to know how they turned out? So would i! Lol. My son is 15 and not nearly close to being finished growing and he is 5′8. My daughter is 17 and hasn't grown in a year. She is 5′3.

Is 6feets(183cm) tall in Western countries ?

Im a young asian man and exactly 6feets.
When I went to Australia a couple of years ago, there were many young men who were taller than me.

I thought probably the average height of young Australian men is around 6.1 feets or some more.

Is that true ?
6feets is absolutely tall in Asia but not tall when it's seen in the world,,

Do you imagine yourself taller or shorter than you actually are?

I am 5'4 but I always feel taller. When I stand near my boyfriend I feel like he is like two inches taller (he is really like six or seven inches taller), but then when I see pictures of us together then I notice the difference. In my imagination I picture myself like 5'6. I am not insecure about my height though. I just feel taller.

We also have a friend who is like 5'6 and I always feel like I am taller than him or around the same height. But I think that is because I always stand up straight and he is always slouching.

So, do you ever feel taller or shorter than you really are? (It doesn't have to be all the time, but maybe just around a certain person)

Why is there ALWAYS tall man petite women couples?

I'm a 5'11 teen girl and it sickens me.
On tv and real life you see it.
Carol Brady is a foot shorter than Mike Brady. (Bradu Bunch)
Nancy is a foot shorter than Darren from Hollyoaks (British soap)

My older sister is only 5'4 and her fiance is 6'3. It's not fair! I get it on by shorter men.

In biblical times where people shorter than we are now or taller?

1) in biblical times where people shorter than we are now or taller?

Well...The Bible covers a period of **at least** 6,000 years.

In Jesus' time, for example, there was a requirement that all Roman soldiers had to be at least 5-10...so they seem to have been about the same height as men today.

As one answer correctly stated, the average human height of any population is **very** dependent on nutrition. However, it *is* also dependent on ethnicity (genes). Considering that most of the people in The Bible were ancestors of modern humans, they likely were our height during prosperous periods or in prosperous cultures, and shorter at other times.

Goliath's height is given in The Bible - he is the tallest person mentioned, and he was (if I remember correctly) 3 inches taller than that tallest human on record in Guinness' Book of Records. That means that ol' Goliath was well within what we would consider the possible range for human height. Likely Goliath was **exceptionally** tall - perhaps a victim of congenital gigantism.

as several of his relatives also were giants (though none claimed to be as tall as he)
