How To Ask Someone If I Can Interview Them

Can someone ask if you are gay on a job interview?

I have a friend who works a technical writer at an assembly plant; he's the one who makes and updates all the work instructions.
My company does work for different companies. I recommended my friend for a job interview at another assembly plant for the same position. He had 3 interviews; one with the human resources person, another one with the corporate person, and finally he had one with the quality department manager.
He tells me at the end of the last interview when he was going out the door, the manager said:
"one last question, are you gay?"
My friend answered it was something personal, he is gay though.

I don't understand why he would ask for that in big company for a position in the engineering field.

What are interview questions i could ask somebody about the Challenger Explosion?

im doing a u.s history project and im interviewing somebody who watched the Challenger on tv.

i need help creating interview questions though, can anyone help me think of some?

ex: how did you feel when you saw the explosion?

stuff like that, thanks!

How do I thank someone for letting me interview them? It was an assignment for school. We had to interview someone that works in the occupation we hope to have. She did it the same day I asked.

The appropriate thing to do would be to send her a thank-you card, in the mail. I saw someone said an email would suffice, but I disagree. If a person took the time and effort to help you with something, the very least you can do is take the time and effort to send them a card. Also, if you shoot off an email, you don’t have any way of knowing if it got dumped in her spam folder. In the event that, sometime later, you actually apply for a job where she works, she will remember that you had the good manners to send her a card. You will already have earned a few good “points” with her and that’s always a good thing!

In the IAS interview, if you are asked that someone slaps you in public, what will be your answer?

Dear Aspirant,Don't worry. No one will ask you baseless question.Even if asked, there will be some base to it, when you were slapped…. Say,You were amidst controlling mob, orYou met an accident, orYou inadvertently banged your personal vehicle, orWhen your friend jokingly slapped you…so, based on above kind of facts you have to answer the question….My Answer will be based on such facts. Say…. IN CASE OF ACCIDENT,I will immediately apologise for my inadvertent mistake, pacify the aggrieved. Give him medical first aid if required and try to monetarily compensate the loss or damage caused by me, in the best of my capacity. That's it.Hope it helps.Good luck. Where do I start if I want to interview someone with Down Syndrome?

Call Easter Seals. Also, a local school may allow you to talk to a parent if they tell the parent that someone needs to do an interview and if it is OK with them, then they can call you. You also might put a wanted advertisement on Craigslist, but just do it on the phone and don't be going to their house by yourself. Your school guidance counselor might be able to help you get in touch with a parent by asking them if they would call you.

What are some interview questions I can ask a person who has coped with the death of a parent?

Is your family close? What is your role in your family? Did anyone's familial role change in response to the death?
If you could talk to him/her today, what would you ask or say?
In what sort of grieving rituals did you participate?
Is there something you plan to do to in remembrance for next year?

In an interview When they ask "If you caught someone stealing what would you do" what do you say?

If it is another member of staff then what they want to hear is you say "I would say something to that person like what are you doing?" Years ago I worked at a well know restaurant and I was asked this question during the interview. I said that I would tell the management. Guess what the manager wanted to hear? "I would say something to that person like what are you doing?" He actually told me that was the answer he was looking for.
If it is a customer then it could be something totally different. I would ask the interviewer to clarify who they meant, customer or employee. If it is a customer then say you would follow the proper procedure.
It might be to follow that person and stay close to them and watch them. That is what I would expect to be a good answer. Basically make them feel like they were caught, and yes, ask them is there something I can help you find. That is what I was told during an interview at a clothing store. Personally I would want to have another witness who was aware if the person was to be confronted. They could sue somebody. But the management is supposed to educate you on handling the situation with customer theft.

Would it be appropriate of me to ask for a Skype interview if I'm out-of-state?

Great question! The short answer is, it shouldn’t be a problem. Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts, and other video conferencing software have become the go-to sources for interviews. Having said that, companies are accustomed to doing some of their hiring processes online. If I were you, I would tell the recruiter that I am pleased to have been selected for the interview and look forward to learning more about the opportunity. Then ask, “would it be possible for us to conduct the initial interview via phone or Skype? Currently, I am out of the country/state on a project and am not able to go to your company for an interview.” There should be no problem. Here is an excerpt on some Skype Interview Tips.Top Skype Interview Tips ListUse a Professional Skype UsernameAccept the Skype Call – Do not push for a phone call instead.Dress to Impress – Dress as you would for an in-company interview.Use a Well-Lighted Area with Clean BackgroundUse a Good Webcam and HeadsetLook into the Camera – Make it seem like your are looking into the interviewer’s eyes.Be Prepared for Tech Glitches – Have a back up plan in case your connection goes down.Eliminate Disturbances and Other Ambient NoisesBody Language – Be aware of your body language and the non-verbal cuesRecord Yourself – Record your session and then watch it to correct it.Here are the tips presented in a video. Here is a link to the complete article.I hope I was able to shed some light on your question.
