Power, money, drugs, to have everything good taken from them, be broken, have a loss of touch in their family (say that a son doesn't get any attention from his parents, he acts bad to get their attention).

You are 100% correct. To worship yourself or any imperfect being is to set yourself on a foundation of sand. You are wise enough to know what resides in you. You are wise and the opposite of spiritually blind in seeing this same thing in all people. It has been proven that the most joy the human mind can experience is when we help others. It is better than sex, better than greed, better than ANY joy known to the human mind. So what you have is a brain buzz that has no readily apparent downside. And the more people get addicted to this brain buzz, the more they become vain. In reality getting a hand-out or charity requires swallowing pride. But not for those who GIVE the charity. There is no swallowing of pride needed for this act. Thus you have an activity (helping and doing good for others) that can become a drug to our ego. Even those who seek grace daily can get a fat head and filled with pride when they help someone out. Nothing I do that is good is based on anything BUT the grace and mercy of God. He saved me from the pits of hell. Before Jesus Christ came into my life, one of the worst things you could want from me was my charity. If I gave you something it was for the sole purpose of reminding myself how much of a good guy I was and to help me sleep at night. Today? I own nothing. I nail it to a cross every day and thank God for opening my eyes to it. What I give is from God and for God. I am only a steward. Best question of the week.

This might seem implausible but there is no such thing as a bad person, there are only good and bad acts, which too may seem good or bad to different people. A person who you may think as bad may seem good to someone else.Let me give an example of Adolf Hitler, as he is considered as one of the most evil people.[1]Though we are familiar with his bad acts, very few know about his good acts and qualities -He preserved the German heritage, and boosted the German economy.He was a humble man from a humble background.He banned smoking in Germany.He himself was very disciplined and he ensured the same quality in his army.He had immensely good leadership qualities being an insightful visionary and a tactful strategist.So, looking at the fact that some of the bad things done by Hitler were actually considered good from the point of view of Germans at that time, but were considered bad from the point of view of their opposition, we can conclude that good and bad is just a matter of perspective. Can animals really sense if you are a good person or not?
Every animal I encounter seem to go right to me out of all the people in the room and I just don't want to be bothered with them. I remember when I was at work and one of the co worker's dog was there and as soon as the dog came in, he ran all the way to me at the other end of the area (which is a kinda big). So I was wondering, do they sense something from me that I'm not aware of? What would most owners naturally think if their pet goes right to a different person in a way it wants attention? Would the owners think I'm subconsciously a good person?
