Is being soft-spoken a sign of weakness?
I'm quite soft-spoken. Introspective. Talking softly will actually make others listen to you more -- they need to listen more closely to what it is you're saying. People who talk over other people are so self-absorbed and have such skewed esteem issues that they rarely listen to what others say regardless of the tone of voice it's said in; they're too busy listening to themselves. You DO need to stand up for your needs and wishes; you don't necessarily have to do it in a loud, bossy, or aggressive manner. If others perceive a soft tone of voice as weakness, that is their hangup; it's only a perception, not a reality.
What does it mean when guy talks in soft voice, etc?
If he talks softly ONLY to you, then there is a really good bond between you, he either likes you or considers you someone really close to him. When he whispers or speaks softly to you, it means that he doesn't want to raise his voice against you- meaning, you mean a hell lot to him and he wants you to know that he is a caring and is someone sweet at heart. If he's soft spoken often, it will tell you how much of a gentle and caring person he is. Cheers :)

When a guy softens his voice when he talks to you, is that a sign he may like you?
Male voices are usually more dominant than women's, as women have more gentle voices, men tend to have to lower theirs and soften it in order to display that he means to speak kindly to you. Guys do this almost every time with all girls except their best friends that are girls or their mum n sisters. Yes if a guy softens his voice for you then he does display that he cares for you and wants you to feel comfortable around him. He does like you! U may also want to know since u r new to this trait of guys that it is not easy to do it. It takes some effort, so please don't mind when you have a relationship with a guy and he hardens his voice when upset or angry because at times when one is upset its difficult to control your voice. It doesn't mean he stopped caring.
