How To Build A Great Gaming Desktop For Under $700

What is a good gaming build for the PC for under $1,500?

YES FINALLY SOMETHING I CAN ANSWER THAT IM GOOD AT.Alright, for this build, I'm going to leave peripherals such as monitor, keyboard and mouse out of the budget. Windows 10 will not be included as you can easily get that freeCPU - Ryzen 5 1600 $200I have this chip and it's amazing. The six cores will be more than enough for many years, making it not only useful for gaming, but also streaming and having many things open at once!RAM - Corsair 16gb ddr4 3000mhz $200It's amazing what fast ram can do for youMotherboard - Any Ryzen compatible motherboard will do. There's really no difference but I would go for the quality ones :) 60–120GPU - Nvidia GTX 1070 $450This GPU is seriously marked up in price right now but the performance is truly remarkable. If you don't want to blow that much you could settle for a 1060 6gb for $300PSU - Evga 80+ Silver 500W $90This power supply will last a while and can take a lot of beatingStorage - Samsung 500gb ssd $150, WD Blue 2tb hardrive $130You get lots of storage as well as fast speed with this comboCase - Anything in the $60 range that matches the form factor of your motherboard :)Total -$1370 (Assumed a $90 motherboard)After tax (7%) - 1465.90If you want you could always go with an intel CPU for purely gaming but it would still be around the same price :)Most of the pricing is based off memory, so if I got a price seriously wrong, feel free to let me know! Cheers

What is a good gaming pc for $700-$850 pre built?

Actually if you plan on spending that much, go to your local microcenter. Tell them your budget is $850. and they will get all the pc parts you need. Microcenter also has really amazing deals you can get a intel i7 3770k for $230!!! But the catch is (in store only.) They can either teach you how to build the computer (which sounds really easy but challenging) or you can ask them to build it for you. But it also depends on what games you want to play.

Can I build a gaming PC the size of a PS4 under or around $700?

Yes you could. A mini itx motherboard in a small case would do it. Size is not the hard part, matching the performance of the PS4 is nearly impossible for that budget. And building a high performance PC that size would pose challenges for managing the heat it would produce.Game consoles are designed by talented engineers at companies with large budgets. Trying to build something with similar performance and similar size is really tough at any budget. You're better off just buying a PS4 and saving yourself $300.

Building my own pc is not an option as I do not feel comfortable taking on a task that I am not proficient in

Trying to build a budget $700 gaming PC. Is this a good build for the price?

I’m quoting Flowey from Undertale: “That’s a wonderful idea!”I’ve done it! Here’s my build:FireDFL's Completed Build - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPickerMy advice for you:Change the i5–6600K to an i3–7100, the motherboard to a cheaper B250M motherboard, and the RAM to 8GB. Then purchase more storage and a better video card. The reason I have slightly advanced components then what I am recommending you is because I occasionally do some video editing and rendering.
