Can you cancel preorders at GameStop?
I recently preordered Destiny at my local GameStop, believing that I was on break the week it came out so that I could pick it up and play it while I'm at home from college. However, I just found out my break is not the week I thought it was. Can I cancel my preorder at that GameStop, and preorder the game again at the GameStop closer to my college instead, even though I received codes for preorder bonuses in the receipt?

If you pre-ordered it online, you have to e-mail GS and tell them that you want to cancel your pre-order. If you did it in the store, just go to the store and tell them that you want to cancel your pre-order and then transfer it to another game.

their policy clearly states that a pre-order cannot be canceled once the item or code has been supplied. which im guessing means you received the beta key, so that counts as either the "code" or part of the "item" what i suggest is that you accept the purchase, return it and then get the other game. sorry but policy is policy.....and youll have to go through with the purchase.. maybe you should have read their policy before you bought their items. edit: if they have already processed your item then THATS when they charge you. not after you get it shipped........(this is also in their policy) "Your credit card will be charged only when your order is processed. In some cases, we will process your order and authorize your credit card up to 10 days before the release of the product. This allows us to get the product to you faster." all im saying, is that you can TRY to back out of it and try not to pay but you probably will fail.
Canceling my Pre-Order?
i ordered NBA 2k11, which comes out tomorrow, at JB-Hi-Fi for $90 with a $10 deposit but have found it cheaper at Dick Smith Electronics. So my question is, can i cancel my pre-order on the release day of the game and get my $10 back? (in case i didn't word that right, game comes out on the 8th, and i want to cancel order on that day, can I?)

short answer: Yes, you can my experience/ long story: I pre-ordered the standard edition in July, and after some thought, I decided I wanted to cancel it so I could get the Special Edition from Amazon instead (Gamestop was sold out of the SE at the time). So I went to Gamestop, they gave me a full refund of what I paid for the original pre-order ($67). After a few weeks I decided paying an extra $40 for shipping/tax to Amazon wasn't worth it, so I re-pre-ordered from Gamestop again just last week. No problems at all.

Call support. It’s your best chance. Since the pre-order of BO4 gives access to a playlist mode in BO3, I’m not sure if you can cancel the pre-order. Do this before the beta starts, though, because your chances of a refund will decrease with a lot if you wait
