How To Change From 50hz To 60hz

How do I change 50hz to 60hz on my tv?

REF to AC frequency
for AC 50HZ / 60 HZ FREQUENCY is standard. those countries use AC 110 V is standard 60HZ.
those countries use 230 V is standard 50 HZ.
you unable to change the AC frequency from 50HZ to 60 HZ.

REF to REFRESH RATE.
those countries use AC 110 V 60HZ . the TV farm refresh rate is standard 60 HZ / 120 HZ or 240HZ.
those countries use AC 230V , the TV refresh rate is standard 50HZ / 100 HZ / 200 HZ.
for those TV with 200 HZ or 240 HZ, yes , you can change it to 100 / 120 HZ if you want. ( from the manual )
for those TV with 50 HZ refresh rate, you unable to change it to 60 HZ. and you need not too.

How do I change the frequency of a mains supply from 50Hz to 60Hz without the help of CRO?

1.Frequency converters 2. Using PWM techniques.In application side, If u are trying to use it for motors or so, then inorder to have constant flux just make V/F constant. Eg: 230/50=4.6. So inorder to use 60hz, then increase voltage so that V/F=4.6 is maintained.

What are some ways of converting 60 Hz to 50 Hz?

There are some but all expensive compared to changing voltage which can be done iwth a transformer.use a AC/DC power supply and then a DC to AC inverter at the correct output frequency. These are sometimes just sold as a AC/AC power supply or as a variable frequency drive (with outputs at anything including 50 Hz).Use a motor + generator set and some intermediate gearing or pulleys to change the rotating rate from 3600 RPM to 3000 RPM.

How does converting a 220V/50Hz fish tank to 110V/60Hz effect the aquarium light & filter/pump?

I'm in the military and I purchased an aquarium while in the U.K.. The filter and fluorescent lamp run on 220-240V/50Hz. I'd like to use the tank in the U.S. and I'd like to purchase a step down transformer to convert the 220-240V/50Hz to 110-120/60Hz but I don't know how it will affect the operation of the tank components (will water filtration be slower? Will the light be dimmer?). Most importantly will my fish survive in the new environment? should I just purchase a new tank and forget about the conversion?

Will 220v/50 hz appliances be damaged if i plug it in 220v/60 hz outlets?

Can you get a transformer to change 60Hz to 50Hz? No. Changing the voltage is easy, changing the frequency is not.
Will they be affected? Yes. Items with timers or timing circuits will run faster, clocks will not keep time. Some motors may run hotter, shortening their lifespan. Could they cause a fire? Always a potential.
Most appliances these days are rated as 110/220 50/60Hz. Check the manufacturer's label on each and if they do say 50/60Hz, you are good to go. If they say 50Hz only, you might want to consider replacements that will handle 50/60. Or, just run them all on 60Hz until they die! (and they may not)

What happens if i plug a 50hz appliance into a 60hz socket?

Depends entirely on the type of appliance, and also the change in voltage (240/220/110V). Read the instructions!

Heaters, toasters and kettles are one thing (it depends on the power rating (=>voltage), and not the frequency.)

Electronics are much more sensitive; it depends on the transformer and power supply.
TVs, CD players, audio generally won't work, and may be damaged.

Some laptops have universal-voltage transformers, which can handle everything. Most don't.

But finally: Read the instructions.

AC 100~240V (1.5A) 50/60 Hz is how many watts?

AC 100~240V automatic voltage selector or regulator and 50/60 Hz is a frequency synchronizer
but what is the voltage rating in your area? and the power factor

if you use 100V then let use commonly ) 80% power factor
P = 100 * 1.5 * .8
P = 120 watts

if you use 240V then let use commonly ) 80% power factor
P = 240 * 1.5 * .8
P = 288 watts
