How To Cite An Interview From The News

Should I write in my resume that I was interviewed for newspaper articles and was a character in a book?

If you were featured in the newspaper articles for specific achievements, include the achievements directly (the press coverage is less relevant), e.g. winning a contest, starting a nonprofit or company, creating an impactful project, volunteering for a specific cause, etc. For local press coverage, a single bullet point under the relevant item should suffice, e.g. "Project featured in (local newspaper) for " or "Recognized in (local newspaper) as one of 5 rising scholars".

Interviewed my mother, how to cite this in text?

I'm doing a research paper on my name. I interviewed my mother as one of my sources but have no idea how to cite this in-text or in a bibliography in an MLA format. Here is the clip.

I asked my mother why she decided to curse me with the name Elaine. She laughed at me of course but explained clearly.
“I wanted to name you Ginger or Leona Williamina but your father wouldn’t have any part of that. You were kind of a surprise, being a month early, so we had to come up with a name on the spot. The hospital gave us a baby book to thumb through and Elaine just stuck out. It was so pretty, and your little personality fit just right.” (??CITE??)
I was absolutely horrified that my mother wanted to name me Leona Williamina, but said that I wouldn’t have minded the name Ginger. It was just as pretty as Elaine but far more unique in my opinion. ----

If you could help me out that would be aweeesome.
Remember to include how I would document a personal interview in my Biblio please!

How do you cite an interview with a doctor in MLA format?

Start at the Research and Documentation site (MLA section for works cited entries)
http://bcs.bedfordstmartins.com/resdoc5e...

In the middle is a drop down menu, where you can select 83. personal interview
http://bcs.bedfordstmartins.com/resdoc5e...

Basically it is...

Smith, John. Personal interview. 10 Sept. 2013.

How do i cite Anna rice's interview with a vampire in MLA format, the book not the movie?

It's Anne Rice, not Anna.

For the bibliography: Rice, Anne. Interview with the Vampire. New York: Ballantine Books, 1991. Print.

For intext citation: (Rice page number) ex. (Rice 45)

Good luck with your paper.

How to cite answers given in an anonymous interview?

You do need to cite it. The basic format for citing an interview that you yourself conducted is:

Interviewee's name. Personal Interview. Date conducted.

More specific details here:
http://library.menloschool.org/mla.html#...

Usually if the author is anonymous then you leave it off. That doesn't seem appropriate here, though. What you may want to do is both identify that they are anonymous, and also they were a relevant interviewee. Perhaps something identifying their job: "Anonymous firefighter" or whatever their role was, like: "Anonymous cancer survivor"

The point of citations is to give credit where it is due and to allow others to follow up on your research. Neither of these is particularly well served in a personal interview of an anonymous source, so you just have to do the best you can.

TARGET WORKERS- Target Interview Questions?

I've worked at Target, and they didn't ask any questions out of the ordinary.
Be prepared to answer why you want to work there and why they should hire you. To help prepare a bit, do a search for "common interview questions" and prepare answers, maybe even have a friend or family member conduct a mock interview on you, just so you won't be nervous.

How would you include a person's title when citing an interview in MLA format?

You would simply put the name, normally, followed by a period; then, in brackets, you would place a description of the person identifying the authority of the person, which may just be "Rabbi." You might also consider putting where exactly he is a Rabbi. Make sure you note the authority of this individual at least once within your paper too.

For example:
Schneerson, Mendel M. [Rabbi at the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.] Personal interview. 18 December 2008.
