Im in really bad debt and now unemployed!?
I recently had to resign from my job due to a second dwi. My parents have been helping me out but now i think im officially over my head in debt and do not know what to do. I am making mininum payments because i cant afford to pay anymore. I am about 12,000 in credit card debt. No one will give me a credit card now because i owe so much. I am unemployed and trying to find a job so i dont put everything on credit. I put things on credit cards to not stress my parents out with having to pay so much but in return im so stressed. I pay my bills using credit cards. I was thinking about doing a loan or debt consioldation. I dont really know anything about this stuff and was wondering what I should do, and if you knew a good company to use?
Consolidating student loans?
Can you consolidate student loans that were taken out for two different people? I would like to combine my loans with my husband's- is that possible? Also, does anyone have suggestions on reputable agencies to consolidate your loans with? I have received mailings from Nelnet and Sallie Mae- does anyone know anything about either? What is a good interest rate to accept for consolidation?

How can I pay 12k in Credit card debt and 31k in student loans?
I'm 25 and married w/o kids living in Michigan. I make around 33k a year. My wife was laid off and she is using the opportunity to go back to school for free while getting unemployment which is only $150 a week. I owe 12k in credit card debt and 31k to my student loan. With the cost of living and paying all the minimums, we're living from paycheck to paycheck. She wont be finished with school for 2 years and I can't live like this that long… I know I could pay the debt in a matter of months if we moved back in with our parents but that’s out of the question for her. Is there anything I can do? Are there fair debt consolidation programs for people in my situation? Thanks.
