How can I convince my parents to let me have energy drinks?
By showing them that you’ll use energy drinks as an option, and not a base.To achieve that you can start by exercising regularly, some cardio plus aerobic to build endurance, lifting to build muscle and strength, and a bit of yoga for balance and flexibility.Then let go of all food with excess fat, carbs, and preservatives as those will nullify your fitness efforts. Consume green salads, nuts and seeds to get some healthy fats to optimize brain function, also fruit and cruciferous veggies.Lastly put all sodas and sugary drinks aside, especially those with high fructose corn syrup, as those will nullify your healthy eating efforts, and start drinking water, something like 6 glasses a day.Then after 4-5 months of doing that have a talk with your parents, and I’m 100% certain that they’ll agree to you having energy drinks.

I am 13 I got my parents to let me have them about a year ago and it didn't effect me it just kept me more focused and alert. 3 weeks later I bought more and my parents dumped it down the drain I asked why and they said its not good for you. Little did I know they figured out what it was (as if they didn't know what it was or they might of been on happy pills when they bought it) and they won't let me have it. Its been 6 months since this has happened and my friends were drinking them and I felt like I was being left out in a way so I went and I bought a monster half and half (so there wouldn't be as much caffiene) and they found out and took it away again. They let me drink soda and tea but not energy drinks. Also I don't want any trolls answering back saying "Oh man that can **** you up bad" because I know I have researched it alot LEGIT ANSWER PLEASE but Thank You :)

ok, so im almost 14, and i love coffee. I realized that i loved the taste a few years ago when i had a sip of my parents coffee. so, my parents let me get starbucks fraps usually because its not 100% coffee, and during the summer they'll allow me to get an iced coffee here and there. i love all types though: hot, iced cappucino, etc. sometimes when we go to restaurants with a large group of people and im sitting not near them and the waiter offers me coffee, i'll have it. they dont make a big scene about it because we're surrounded by a bunch of people, but they're not happy about it. so now, all of a sudden in the past few weeks, my parents forbid me from drinking coffee, idk why! they tell me it stunts my growth, and it doesnt! everyone my age drinks coffee! im definitely not addicted, because the most ive had it in one week is like 2 times. what should i do to convince them to let me drink it?

HOWEVER In the UK, and most states of the US, it is legal for you to drink under the age for buying alcohol (which is all the age limit technically refers to in most instances) if you are in the home and they are with you (and in some places you don't even have to be at home as long as they are there, and they are buying it).

You don't have to convince them anything, it's perfectly legal for a kid to buy, just go to a store and buy a can. It's less than $2, I'm sure you can somehow score that much money. Don't drink more than 1 though, may mess you up.

I'm 18 years old, i'm about to graduate. here's the thing. i hang with people who are about 19 or 20 and they drink at there house and there parents dont give two sh*ts about it. i think it's cause they're pretty close to the legal age and it really doesn't matter. my mom basically said, if i'm at a party, if i'm drinking to not get drunk or do anything stupid. she'll once in awhile buy me some non alcoholic beer. i'm trying to convince her to buy me real beer though. i'm not even that much of a drinker, it's just nice knowing that your parents are mellow enough to trust you with it. i think i'm close to getting her to start doing that and i keep it in the mini fridge in my room. i just gotta show i'm responsible, stay out of trouble, study, and just be mature which i am. my dad however is a different story. he flat out doesn't want me drinking till i'm 21. we'll occasionally have wine with dinner, and he'll let me have a beer with him on rare occasions or try his. i think this is something you do with your dad when your like 16. i just think it's kind of unreasonable to not expect 18 year olds to drink. don't get me wrong, i totally understand parents not wanting their kids to drink. but i'm not a kid. i'm a legal adult who is mature. as of 26 years ago, i'd be old enough. doesn't that kind of say something? and i refuse to get drunk outside of my own house. is there away i can convince my dad that i'm mature and maybe he'll lighten up. it'd just be cool to have an opportunity when my mom is going to the grocery store, and when she asks me what i want, i'll just give her some money and say get me some mike's lemonade. i just want them to understand that i know how to mature and balance things out. i mean yeah. i'm gonna drink at parties anyway. but how come if they kind of figure i'm drinking at parties (at least my mom does) how come i can't do it when i choose at home. any advice is apprectiated. please no rude comments, i think these are normal questions.

monster energy drink can not really harm you . if you drink a lot of them in a short period of time and can be unhealthy but nothing can really happen, just as long as you have one every once in a while and not a few everyday . explain to them that they will not harm you and you will drink it responsibly. they do not have alcohol or anythingbad in them . they just keep you alert for a short period of time .

This is not right and depending on where you live, I don't think it's legal either. A growing child, especially a teenager needs socialization. What are your parents afraid you'll get into. Regardless, this isn't right. I would speak to your parents and ask them why they feels it is necessary to limit your freedom so severely and try to explain that it's not necessary. If that doesn't work, talk to someone at your school when you're there. Unless you are in a fundamentalist Muslin country, I'm sure this is illegal.
