How to cook frozen chicken patties in the oven?

Here's an interesting recipe for them. First thaw, and then quickly brown them in a little butter.
Put them in an oiled casserole or glass baking dish in a single layer and spread your favorite spaghetti or marinara sauce over them. Sprinkle shredded mozzerella on top. 375 for about a half an hour or until the cheese is brown and bubbly.

How can I cook chicken patties?

I'm assuming you bought the flat, frozen, breaded kind that one would normally eat on a bun?? If so, how about heating them in the oven (beats the microwave everytime), get a jar of spaghetti sauce (Or better yet make your own), prepare your favorite type of pasta. when the patty is done, put it on a plate, add some of the sauce to it, add some of the pasta to the side and sauce on that too, put your favorite kind of cheese on top, kind of doing a mock Parmesan chicken here.

If you saw those being made, I doubt you’d still eat them. Put it this way: There is NO PART of the chicken that is wasted. If it is legal (and who know whats done when no one is looking) to put in the mash the patties are made from, it goes in. This does include the entire carcass once the meat has been stripped, bone and all. And that IS legal. It is then ground into a paste in which the patties are formed. A chemically enriched batter is applied and the patties are “set” in deep fryer oil before they are flash frozen… Put it this way. I once worked in a school district kitchen, sampling potential products that would be served. One product was called “breaded chicken chunks” it was to be used in various recipes; sweet and sour chicken, mashed potato bowl, etc. I picked up one piece and tasted it and to tell you the truth, it wasnt too bad. It had a good texture and flavor similar to McDonalds nuggets. I picked up another and bit into it and I swear, it had to have been an actual chicken head! So, leave those patties in the freezer at the Safeway. We used to make chicken dinners at least 10 different ways all from a whole chicken. It is still really cheap too! Where I live, adjusted for inflation, the chicken I bought for .79 cents a pound in 1978 dollars would be equivalent to about .15 cents a pound these days.We also never ate the head

Could I bake chicken patties in the oven?

You will also need some Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Place the chicken patties in a baking pan, top with the tomato sauce, then with the cheese. Stick it in the oven -- follow the heating instructions that come with the chicken patties, because I do not know if they are pre-cooked and just need to be heated (in which case, let cook until the cheese melts) or longer if it is raw chicken. They'll take a while anyway since they are frozen. Cook the noodles normal and serve them as a side. Hope it goes well!

Magnificently, I've been told. :-) But seriously, just toss them onto the cooking surface to clatter like dropped coins. After an extra 30 seconds or so to thaw, they'll cook just like soft patties.  Advice to thaw flies in the face of virtually every fast food joint and non-snooty eatery which very likely cooks frozen. Plus, the advantages of freezing are manifold: storage life (nigh indefinite if airtight), far easier handling during prep (bonus: if you fear sticking, brush with oil and it will congeal on the frozen meat - no dripping!), and a few seconds grace to rearrange them on the cooking surface before they soften and/or stick. Salting during cooking will compel the meat to dry and shrink, so save it for on the bun. If you make your own patties like I do (half-inch thick. Max. PLEASE!), I've found non-stick baking paper or waxed paper best between them for stacked storage. Now go and make me proud!Aaaaaand now I'm freakin' hungry...

Is it okay to bake frozen hamburger patties?

It is ok to bake a frozen hamburger. The tempurate in the middle of the burger should reach at least 155 degrees F. This is to kill all pathogins. Sorry this won't help with mad cow diesese.

the reason you have to do this with hamburger and not steak is that hambuger is gorund- so any pathofgens on the surface ofthe meat is mixed throughout the burger. Just heat it to the stated tempurature and you'll be fine.

There is nothing wrong with baking frozen hamburger patties in the oven. Although putting frozen hamburger meat in the oven increases the cooking time, it is still a quicker option than properly defrosting the patties first. However, there are shortcut defrosting methods that are faster than cooking frozen patties in the oven, if you are pressed for time. Regardless of exactly how you prepare your hamburgers, it's important to thoroughly cook the ground beef to kill any bacteria, such as e. coli or salmonella, that cause food-borne illnesses.Step 1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.Step 2Place the frozen hamburger patties on a lightly greased oven tray. Cover the tray loosely with aluminum foil. Put the tray in the middle of the center oven rack.Step 3Bake the hamburger patties for about an hour. Cooking time varies significantly depending on the density and thickness of the patties, as well as differences among individual ovens.Step 4Remove the tray using an oven mitt. Uncover the tray and insert the tip of a meat thermometer into the center of the thickest patty, making sure not to press through to the cooking tray. Determine whether the meat has reached 160 degrees, the point at which it is considered safe to eat. Do not rely on textural or visual inspection, as both can be misleading, cautions the United States Department of Agriculture.Step 5Return the hamburgers to the oven if they have not yet reached 160 degrees, or if you prefer them more well-done.
