How To Cover Scars On Wrist Before School

How to cover up scars from wrist to elbow in the summer?

i have scars on my arm and i wanna know a way to hide them in the summer at school. i don't like to buy things online and i've been searching in every store trying to find arm warmers but i can't find any. i don't wanna wear long sleeves the rest of the skool year. i also don't want to cover them up with makeup cuz it seems like a waste of makeup. and this might sound weird but i don't want any magic cream that will make the scars fade cuz i kinda like them. my mom knows about them and i stopped cutting just in case anyone's wondering. but i need a way to hide them from my friends and teachers.

How to cover up self harm scratches on my wrist?

Munch stop being an asshole.

You could use the foundation cover up stuff AND tighter-fitting bracelets.
Or try wearing a light, long-sleeve sweater.
I also suggest that you get help from a psychiatrist or therapist, if you haven't already. As much of a release it may be, cutting doesn't solve the deep psychological issues welling within you.

How do you cover up fresh cuts on your wrists?

Well, long sleeved shirts are the best really. But if your not willing to wear those than try those rubber wristbands guys wear. Like my friend has one that says I <3 boobies. Haha anyway, and just try crossing your arms alot and covering the wrist with cuts on it that way. Makeup works to an extent but not much. If the cuts were close together just put one big bandage over them and if people ask, say you fell or if you have a barbed wire fence near your house say that you were trying to go through it and it cut you . I use that one alot but my parents know about my SH since i had surgery now so they really don't believe me haha.

How do i hide scars so my parents won't see my slit wrists, and how can i stop without telling my parents?

Make up may cover the scars, also consider buying a scar cream intended for stretch marks, this can help reduce the redness. Make sure that the scar is COMPLETELY healed before you put cream or make up over it as infection may set in. Also consider switching to a different part of your body, my best friend in HS cut his upper arms and pectoral muscles to avoid having to disclose information to his parents.

Secondly, GET HELP. By law minors can receive mental health care w/o parental consent or notification if the provider determines that it is in the best interests of the patient. Since cutting is usually in response to depression or anxiety it would be very easy to make a case to your doctor that letting your mother know would cause MORE depression and anxiety as you said, she would 'go mental'. If you don't have health insurance coverage under your parents policy consider calling a free (800) support line and asking about walk in clinics or councilors in your area.

If you do have insurance contact your doctor and when you see him ask for a explain the situation and ask for a referral to a mental health provider, all of this can be accomplished without your parents knowledge or consent, you have the RIGHT to seek medical attention without their interference.

Wear lots of bracelets, though I'm guessing you're not allowed to do that in PE? Ask your parent/carer to write a note explaining why you should wear long sleeves, but if your parents don't know, try and forge it. You don't have to say they're self harm scars, just scars.

Side note: stay strong, please. I know it may seem like there's no hope, but there is. There are people that care about you and don't want to see you get hurt or hurt yourself, so please try and distract yourself with other things if you feel like self harming (I've been there, music or youtube always helps me). Also, don't be ashamed of your scars. If you stop self harming, those scars can remind you that you were strong enough to overcome your issues. Be proud of who you are, not what's on your body.<3

How do you hide self-harm scars on my wrists in P.E.? I'm not allowed to wear long sleeves.

Your best bet would to be to let the scars heal over a period of time or do some form of treatment on the scars with items you may have available to you.Another option would to be to cover the scars with a large bandage/band aid that's a skin tone color and is similar to the color of your skin. If it's a small bandage you put on, people will certainly get suspicious. If you have a large bandage, people will think that you got a huge burn or cut or something major which is good.Makeup is another helpful option or to just not lift your arm up that much while in PE. If your scars are close together, a small BandAid will do or some thick bracelets. Drawing or doodling with ink on your scars that can wash off after PE, is another option but its noticeable.Treating self-harm scars:How to Get Rid of Self Harm Scars'I'm ashamed of my self-harm scars. Is there anything I can do about them?'Stay safe out there!

One of the teachers at my school refuses to cover up her suicidal scars on her wrist, because she is “proud of them”. Is this valid?

Yes, she is showing by her very existence that she is a human who's progressing through life like everyone else and has no shame. Others who have dealt with suicide in any shape or form will know that perhaps they can talk to her. If it's triggering to you or the students, then they're lucky to be put in the position to ask themselves why they're triggered and move forward from there.

Hiding self harm in school?

I have scars on my arms and used to hide them with long tops, and eventually got the confidence to wear short sleeve t-shirts in public after managing to restrict self harm to my wrist, which I have hidden with a wristband.

However after a relapse I'm now sitting in my room full of regret, knowing that I have to go back to hiding myself away... The problem is it is WAY too hot to continue to wear long sleeved tops under all of my t-shirts. Also school is starting again in a few weeks, and I know it will be too hot for the second layer under my school uniform, and with stricter uniform policy being introduced when we return to school, I'm not sure that I could even get away with wearing the long sleeved tops under my school polo.

Basically I'm asking if there's any way around this, or any suggestions? Sorry for rambling on.

I'm 15 years old, male, in the UK so yes we do have uniform. And yes my family do know I have self harmed in the past, but aren't aware I have relapsed as I did it literally like an hour or so ago. :/
Also yes I have counselling.

Thank you in advance...

How do I hide cuts on my wrist?

what i do : if your a girl you can use cover up of foundation or you could always put bulky bracelets on or pretend you sprained your wrist (but of course that wont work in the long run), or you could put liquid skin on it and then cover up with makeup. The obvious thing to do is wear sweaters and long sleeves but what happens when you cant? in the summer i sometimes wear a tank top and a bathing suit cover( so a extremely light and thin shirt.) I once hit a vein and was super worried because i didn't want anyone to know. I had figured everyone would have noticed if i was profusely bleeding in class so i first applied pressure by putting a bandage around it ( it took a while for the bleeding to even slow down) then i soaked it in water and ipibrofic alcohol. if you actually want it to heal i would put anti-bacterial on it but i just wanted it to stop bleeding so then i put liquid skin over it covered it up and then it healed. Now the fact that i hit a vein was totally by accident. Yes i am cutting but i dont want anyone to know. Honestly they probably wouldnt care anyway. But i still dont want anyone to try to ¨help”. Guess what! i dont need help i need peace and music and someone who gives me a reason to stay alive. I hope this was helpful! ( probably not) Oh well, good luck hiding you sadness and anger and the thought that your literally trash. (i dont think your trash)
