How To Down Losd Song From Itouch To Galixy 3 Phone

Can you download apps on the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 that are similar to Ipod Touch 4th Gen apps?

So , basically i have a Ipod Touch 4th Gen . That im giving to my brother . Im getting a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 that should come in few days.. I was wondering if you can download the same apps on the 5.0 as same as the ipod . Like apps i really need is something like Kik , and tango . Also i was wondering if theres anyway you can text and call without using tango or skype . Any apps or something. I was researching they said google voice. Can someone explain to me how that works, and also does the person you going to text have to have google voice? Can he/she just have a regular smart phone? Also i realized that i installed skype on my ipod touch a while ago and i realized that you can only call , and make video calls and stuff if you have a number (and its an ipod so ofcourse it doesnt) does the 5.0 have a number when you download skype or do you have to pay like on the ipod. Thank you so muchh! <3
