Why was Aden Young selected to portray the fictional character "Daniel Holden" from the TV show "Rectify"?
I loved the series, and I think his casting was crucial and perfect. He has such a quietness about him, and you see deep pain that he's trying to hide coming out of him all the time. He's obviously an accomplished actor to be able to portray that. And what puts it over the top for me is how he portrayed Daniel's emotional stuntedness, like he'd been frozen at 17 and not been able to fully grow up. The scene where he rides bikes with his stepbrother shows this so well. I love the look of freedom on his face in this scene!
