How to fix my HP laptop, it has sound but no picture?
Because this is very unusual its best to assume that its hardware related. This could either be the ribbon cable, which is cheap to replace, the backlight inverter board, which isn't especially expensive either, or the lcd which is more expensive. Unless you or someone you know is very good at these types of things, and can fix it, you would need to have it repaired at a shop. Try using compressed air to clean out dust from the vents, this could help with an overheating problem. I still have to assume at this point that its hardware related and only an analysis by a professional can tell what the problem is and the cost to fix it.

Right click on it and do “Troubleshoot”.If there is no any problem with the audio driver, then, you need to change the new Speakers on your HP Laptop.
How do i fix my Laptop? it makes like a blender sound....?
so i got this Hp laptop from my neighbor because she said she got it and barley used so she gave it to me... it makes this sound from like the bottom and its super annyoing it sounds kinda like a blender or Cd that just went in to a disc trey and when it spins it scratchs on the top... anyway how do i fix it BY MY SELF????? please awnser ASAP thanks
Fried my laptop sound card, no sound? :(?
Two days ago, I accidentally spilled water on my laptop keyboard. Has happened before, but I guess that time it was too much water. The laptop was making weird crackling sounds and I knew that wasn't good. I turned on the laptop and it looks like the sound is gone for good. I tried plugging in speakers and headphones, but the sound still didn't work... Does anyone know what I can do? I read that I have to probably take it somewhere to get fixed... Any idea how much it might cost? Some people say it's around $150-$300. D: Might it be better to just buy a new laptop? This laptop I think bought for around $1000. Thanks. Any help is extremely appreciated. :)
Why does my laptop sound like a jet engine?
My laptop used to be pretty quiet,but about a month ago I pressed the Fn+F2 buttons (the F2 button has a blue function logo shaped like a fan - I still have no idea what it does). Anyway, now the fan will start making a tremendous amount of noise - it doesn't sound like anything is trapped in there, just like it's working hard - anyway, today I opened it up and cleaned out any dust and made sure the fan was secured. Put it back together and the fan is still making a lot of noise. I push Fn+F2 and after about a minute it cuts off for a couple of minutes, then starts again! Can anyone advise as to what the problem is here? Kind regards, Jamie
