How To Flat Iron Natural Hair Without Blowdrying It

How to blow dry natural hair without damaging it?

..just make sure that the blow dryer isn't too hot but not cold ether; and before drying the hair apply a "heat protecting" lotion or spray specifically designed to protect the hair before / while drying it. it gives it an awesome shine and feel to it ( even smell nice ).

and don't rub a towel into the hair cause it will damage it; best to use tissue paper like the used in the kitchen etc.

If you blow dry and flat iron hair?

Normally I let my hair air dry and then flat iron it, but that just takes too long so I'm going to start blow drying and flat ironing my hair when it's done. Of course I'll use a heat protectant, and I'll use the low setting on my blow dryer, but what heat setting should I use for my flat iron? My flat iron goes up to 400 degrees, when I let it air dry I set it at 370 degrees, but since I'm blow drying to too what setting should it be at?

Can you straighten your hair without blow drying it first?

as long as your hair is dry then you can do it. i use a heat protectant. you just spray it on your hair before straightening it. it makes such a huge difference! it makes the straightner glide along your hair so nicely and it leaves your hair looking smooth.

Can i flat-iron my hair without blow-drying it?

i have a mixture of waves and big curls (in other words, tousled hair) and i'd like to try washing my hair at night, braiding it and letting it dry the next morning (so it doesn't look like a broom in the morning) and just going over my entire head with a flat iron. can i actually do that? will it turn out well or do i really need to blow dry it straight before using the flat iron? thanks in advance.

Should we blow dry hair or let it dry naturally? Why?

Undoubtedly! Air-dry.Because air drying has got no limitations.Okay let’s look for the benefits of drying hair with the blow dryer. It is time saving.Added benefit of styling the hair.Well, I tried thinking for more of the benefits, but I couldn’t.Now look at the demerits of blow dryer. It causes split ends.Damages the hair. The hot air coming from the dryer is very very bad for the hair.It consumes power.Handling dryer is not easy. It is not a easy task.Plus the hot air from the dryer is intolerable as it touches face, eyes.. (in case your dryer blows normal air)Now consider this, the major drawback of using the dryer:Blow drying causes a "flash drying" effect that not only removes the surface moisture but also removes water that is bound to the hair, which is called water of hydration. The effect of this flash drying is that the cuticles become dry, rigid and brittle. When the hair flexes, the pressure causes the cuticles to crack. Combing hair with this degree of cuticle cracking causes significant breakage. And in my opinion which is not great.Well there is no such problem with air drying. If you want you can blow-dry your hair ocassionally, when you want to style your hair. But using blow-dryer on a continuous basis, can be very detrimental to your scalp. And with air-drying, you can wave, flutter, swing, and play around with the hair. I guess this is the most loved past time hobby of most of the girls.!!!!!!!CONSIDER THIS VERY SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!

Is blow drying your hair every day bad for it? Does it matter if it's hot or cold air? Will doing this every day cause hair loss in the long term?

Do it rarely if neededit is recommended to not use a hair dryer day after day. Not only does it rob your hair of natural moisture, it also makes hair more prone to breakage.Whether its cold or hot , it does not matter but drying hair naturally will definitely help hair in long runAny kind of heat therapy does that, which is why you have always stayed away from flat ironing**How hair dryer affects hair **When you take a shower, water enters each strand of hair follicle. When you step out of your bath, you immediately power up the hair dryer to create that great hair style. But what you don’t realise is that the moisture that has seeped into your scalp gets heated up instantly, and to evaporate it pushes your hair fibres and creates open spaces. It is these open spaces that make your hair prone to damage and breakage. After all, the roots are weakened by that sudden blast of hot hair, which means the hair isn’t as firmly attached to your scalp as it was.The way you dry your hair vigorously with a towel can also result in weak hair, more prone to breakage. It is best to allow hair to dry naturally. This way, your scalp stays protectedUse a wide-toothed comb on wet hair and avoid using a paddle brush or hard bristle brush for styling if the hair is still wet.
