How To Get Over This Memory

How can i get rid of Muscle memory?

Muscle memory has been used synonymously with motor learning, which is a form of procedural memory that involves consolidating a specific motor task into memory through repetition. When a movement is repeated over time, a long-term muscle memory is created for that task, eventually allowing it to be performed without conscious effort. This process decreases the need for attention and creates maximum efficiency within the motor and memory systems. Examples of muscle memory are found in many everyday activities that become automatic and improve with practice, such as riding a bicycle, typing on a keyboard, typing in a PIN, playing a melody or phrase on a musical instrument, playing video games,or performing different algorithms for a Rubik's Cube.

How to get rid of a bad memory?

We all have bad memories. We're all human.
But we all have good ones, too.
But what other people do that you aren’t is that other people let those bad things go.
You are cradling those bad things to your chest as if you’re trying to find a home for a couple of stray kittens you just found. There’s no need for you to drag that stuff around. Throw those dead, stinking, rotten carcasses in the nearest Dumpster, and don't go near that Dumpster ever again for the rest of your life.
Or, do this. Every time you feel bad over something, wash out your soul by vividly remembering all the good things you've ever felt and did and said and experienced and enjoyed. Use your discomfort force yourself to keep stuffing more good thoughts and deeds and words and experiences and memories into your heart and soul, and cherish them.
Then whenever those bad, nasty bastards pop up in your head from time to time and say 'Hey! Remember us?' you can say, 'Yeah. I remember you. But, you know what? I am WAY too busy thinking about and doing good thoughts and deeds and works and experiences and memories. I don't have ANY time for a**holes like you in my life anymore. Leave me alone!'
And, eventually, they will. At least for the most part. Just remember that all the things in your past helped make you who you are today. And if you’re a good person, then those bad things, and the bad way that they made you feel, help to make you the good person that you are today.
And please, if you are, don't hate. Don't hate anybody, even if you’re blaming somebody for your bad memory. But especially, don't hate yourself. Hate is an evil, horrible disgusting Deadly Sin, and it will rot the heart right out of you, leaving you bitter and cold and empty inside.
Don't let Hate do that to you. Don't let Hate win. Be kind, be patient, be compassionate, be understanding. Be a good person.
Everybody else is another human being, too. Just like you.

How to get over old memories?

I came across a quote: 'Not even God can change the Past': I like it so much I had it tattooed on my forearm as a reminder that there's no use dwelling on yesterday, because I can't change it. Stop replaying those memories in your head like like a tape of an old movie, expecting the ending to change. When the film starts to role, just say to yourself 'Oh, I know how this one goes' and turn it off. Instead, imagine yourself in 5 years, living the life you'd like to live-- nothing silly, like being named Emperor of the universe, but something warm and realistic-- a place of your own to live, a lover who touches you gently, a job that makes a difference in the world: You really, truly can get there. You can be living that life-- it still won't be Perfect, you'll still have months when it's hard to make rent and your car breaks at the worst possible moment, but life is like that-- it's pretty sweet when we stop worrying long enough to enjoy it.

We can't change how other people feel, either: nothing you can do will transform your parents into the supportive people you wish they were. But while they might hurt your feelings and have expectations for your life that don't match their own, ultimately, you are the only one that lives inside your head, the only one that can make you happy is you. Stop striving to make them into what they aren't, stop worrying about their expectations and take an honest look at your own: if you are a good, honorable person, then give yourself some credit. Be the emotional caretaker to yourself that your parents have failed to be: Tell yourself 'Good Job!' when it's true, tell yourself the truths about you that your parents haven't: "You know, you treat your friends really well, I like how loyal you are. You have a tender heart that cares for other people a lot, even when they don't respond as you wish they would'; "It's all right buddy, you are just going through a rough patch, one of these mornings you'll wake up and not even remember why you were so upset."

Happiness doesn't come naturally to the human animal. It's something most of us have to work at.

How can I get rid of memories?

As mentioned by others, time is the best medicine. It can heal things, help you move on and become a better, stronger person but I would like to add one technique that would really help you get started. So here it goes:Sit comfortably in a quiet place where you are sure that you won't be disturb for some time.Relax by breathing deeply.Ensure that you don't have any other disturbing thought in your mind.(This step decides the effectiveness of the technique,so do it as best as you can)Visualize as vividly as possible the memories you want to get rid of.Feel it happening all over again and again. Feel the person sitting in front of you, smell the air, observe the surroundings, the noises you are hearing and the most important how you are feeling at the moment. Just observe don't react. (This step might sound counter intuitive but you have to let it out and show yourself that it doesn't affect you any more)Keep adding the details in your visualization until you are convinced that you can't do it better. (You really have to fool your mind )Now comes the best step. Keep visualizing the scene but slowly start removing color from it. Picture it black and white.Imagine the visualization running on a screen which is getting smaller and smaller every moment. As the screen is getting smaller and smaller imagine the sounds fading in background. (you have to do this very slowly must take at least 3–5 minutes).Keep doing it until the screen becomes too small for you to notice and the sound almost inaudible. If you are finding yourself relaxing at this moment then congratulations!the trick worked.Just forget about it and carry on with your day. You will find that memory is no longer troubling you.I HOPE THIS HELPSHappy Visualizing :-)

How do you get cat fur off of a memory foam pad?

We have 9 cats and have to deal with this problem constantly. We find ourselves having to go over and over again with the sticky roller - they have ones that are made for pets that are stickier than the regular ones - and vacuuming. You might try turning over the pad and putting the other side up, then putting a plastic backed pad - a washable one - over it and under your sheets, so that When it gets full of dander and fur, you can simply wash it. You still probably will have to be taking Claratin for a while, but hopefully this will help.

How can I get over someone that I have so many good memories with?

Many a times when we are too close to a person, our brain tricks in believing that we like them, this may be or may not be your case. I have recently passed through what you asked, its been just 5 months that my best friend got committed and totally started ignoring me, the problem is I was too close to him and there wasn’t a day when I didn’t talk to him for minimum 2 hours, and all of sudden I just had nobody to talk to, i didn’t know what was missing at that moment but I was very hurt and depressed, the worst part was I was kept looking into the past and remembering all the amazing memories I had with him, and I was just kinda stuck there in the bubble. I was also going through the phase where I quit my job and was waiting from B school to start. Why do I say this? Because I was totally jobless in those 2 months and I am a person who likes to remain busy, since I was totally free I thought more and more about it, remembering him and all the memories I had with him.How did I move on?This is an age technique and I feel its effective. I moved to another city, though at that time this wasn’t the only reason for moving to a new place, but I am glad my B school was in another city. There were these times when I would sit there and just recollect him and just wish I could go back to how it was. But fate was different. The guy who would reply in 5 min now takes days to reply and I sit like a moron waiting. Then I asked myself if this is what I want to be stuck on with? Or want to move ahead? I decided to move on.Stopped everything I usually do for him, like sending good morning’s without fail, now deliberately not sending.Taking time to reply with no apparent good reason.Telling myself over and over that I am more important to me than he is.I told him I miss him too much etc. got hurt there when he respond as he could, took that hurt as motivator never told him again. In the end I feel getting over a best friend is more painful than get over a boyfriend/girlfriend. Just remember good memories make life more difficult but there are not what your life should revolve around, cause you got to see much more and meet many new people. I can never have a best friend like him, but the best part is I don’t need anymore like him.Hope it helped.Btw, this is my first answer on Quora I just couldn’t stop myself from replying to you :) Have a great day :D

How can you get rid of your unhappy past memories?

The poignant memories of the past do not leave us easily. These memories torment us and keep upset. We try so much, but these memories keep chasing us . We remain in today but we live in the past, whose memories continue to scatter our mind and brain.According to psychologists, human beings remember sad and painful moments in place of the pleasant happenings of their past. It does not remember who has done well with us as much as who has been wrong with us.In between this confusion of present and past life, our mind is filled with stress, guilt and anger, which has a bad effect on both our relationship and functioning. Recalling the tragic moments of the past ,we continue to influence our relations in present in an unknown way.According to psychologists, if a person keeps remembering an event for a long time, then it changes into long-term memory and goes into the subconscious mind and we are forced to live with those incidents .When we remember painful tragedies, our biological chemical activity increases in our body. Due to which many hormones secretion takes place, some of these actions and hormones are extremely harmful to the body and have a negative effect on our mind too.The best way to avoid the bitterness of past is to keep yourself engaged in good work according to your own interests. Making a little change in your own daily routine also diminishes unnecessary burden on the mind and the mind becomes quite calm and stress free. With the right daily routine, we should find time to read good literature every day so that our mind is full of positive thinking. To avoid the bitter grief of the past, we should try to live in the present. One who takes care of the present, he learns from the mistakes of the past and takes over his future.Life is very valuable and very beautiful, it can be decorated and saved only by the moments of the present. If the future is to be honored, let the past go away.
